Drivers?

  I'm looking for a driver soon. Right now, I'm using the 225-yard starter driver. It's not doing great, except for the recent 35 I hit on Pinehurst 2, which got me up to pro. Prefferably under 350 credits (my current balance is 220), what driver do you think is the most worth it?

  As a budget solution for you, I'd propose a good 3WD like the R11 @L30 or the G25 @L34. Or wait for another bargain further up.

  These clubs will provide you with higher quality shots (including a second one on the FW), are a tad longer and have 1/3 of the price of a driver.

  You may stay driverless until Master tier.

  Would 3 woods work better than drivers with accuracy as well? It feels like my FIR is lower than Phil Mickelson's. This is partially due to meter speed. Also, does a high meter speed mean the meter goes faster, or slower?

  A three wood is generally more accurate than a driver, just as in the real world. However, there would be some bearing depending on the precision and forgiveness of the respective clubs. The higher the meter number the slower it goes, i.e., a 3 is faster than a 3.5, a 3.5 faster than a 4, etc.

  The higher the meter speed number the slower the meter moves.  If you are having trouble with your existing driver you might need to consider a slower meter ball.   The two 3W's alosso mentioned have much better precision and forgiveness than your starter driver.  

  But the meter speeds are 3.0 for the Ping and 3.5 for the R11.  That is the same as that Cobra 3W you have, but the distances are much better.  So how well do you ding your existing 3W?  If you ding it most of the time then the R11 would work fine.

  Should you need to buy a slower meter ball consider either the WGT G12 or G13.  Both come with either 1.0 of distance or spin.  The G12 is 2.0 meter and costs 64 credits for either.  The G13 has 2.5 meter and is 94 credits for the distance ball and 99 cr for the spin ball.  The spin balls have better durability and will last an average of around 15 or 20 shots longer.  Do not buy WGT Starter slow meter balls (L1+).  They are a rip off.

  Best thing before buying any clubs or balls is to search the forum and get advice first.  Had you asked first you would not own that Cobra POS 3W now.

  With my current 3-Wood, I'm playing fine. I usually use it as a second shot on long par 4s and on par 5s. Would changing the ball force me to change the way I take a shot (ex - meter offset, strength, spin...), and is it worth it to get new ones?

  I'm working on getting to level 34 to try out that new wood.

  The best thing for you to do is slow down . Do the credit offers to earn credits by watching videos and doing surveys . Stop trying to play so fast and doing everything all at once . This game requires patience in everything you do so slow down . Use the clubs you have to learn your way and figure out how to play the courses .

  But stop being in a hurry to get there . I know you want to play better all good but you also have to learn how .In your position or level you will out pace any clubs you get right now .So you have to take your time with upgrades so as to not waste your credits .

  The L19 Big Bertha 3W plays very nice. It cost 995. It may be my favorite that I have had. I used it as a driver until L48, where the R1 driver became available. I have no regrets, and was able to be somewhat competitive with others in my tier using just that 3W.

  Unsolicited extra tips: Getting a couple good wedges can really make the game more fun too. The L7-L8 Cleveland wedges are not the best available to you, but they are affordable (495 each). I added some cheap irons to what I have mentioned, with the 60, 85, and 100 yard wedges, and it seemed like a fairly economic way to make the game more fun and be somewhat competitive. I also stuck with free balls until L59. I think if you add up the costs, and keep track of the time you spend playing, you will find this to be an extremely cheap form of entertainment.

  You've been given good advice as to 3 different clubs with different prices.  Bottom line is what can you afford to spend?  The L19 BB 3W is probably the best club, but it costs quite a bit more than the other two.  I think the R11 @ L30 is worth the extra 100 credits compared to the L34 Ping as it has much better forgiveness, a slightly slower meter and greater distance.  All 3 will work for you,  

  Better wedges would also help your scoring quite a bit.  If it were me, I would get the L30 R11 3W, now and add 2 ATV  wedges (64 and 60 degree) when you reach L39.
