Don't think in degrees - it's the shot lengths that matter!
Clubs perform the best and are the best controllable in length in the upper 20 % of power.
Including the punch shots, the full lengths should be (mostly) equidistant below the iron set's PW. These are 110-120(?) yds in better sets, so any three-wedge set should be topped by 100 to 105 yds. The shortest ones (64°) are 50 or 60 yds for different brands - good for green bunkers and short approaches. The third one should fit in between.
Thus, combinations of 60 - 80 - 100 yards or 50 - 75 - 100 yards (which I prefer) are common, but some players have shown creative exceptions including a 90 yds medium wedge.
It's a pity that WGT sells wedge sets which are incomplete or with ineffective lengths, but that is the business. We have also experienced that companies don't sell 64° any more, creating a gap in the desirable composition.
Unfortunately, you won't get away with only one set. You need custom wedges in the beginning, starting at L28 or L39, because the Starter wedges are crap. For contention in the high tiers, you need the top wedges, either ATV or Cleveland or MAX or ??? which are available above L70 only.
