Not sure if this type of tournament has been attempted here or not, but I find them enjoyable, and have played them at some of my local courses. Its a 3 club tournament, each player is allowed only 3 clubs to play the round with. I just played a round trying it with a driver, 6 iron, and a putter and shot 72
At real courses I play it with a 3 wood, 6 iron and a wedge, but the putter would have to be used here at WGT, as you cant make a putting stroke with any other club.
It could be ran in either 9 or 18 holes, and as a practice round, both players would have to use the honor system, as you cant really see the exact club your opponent is hitting, but you can get an idea by the distance. Start of the match each player lets the other know which 3 clubs he/she is using, and the avg distance of each (one will be a putter as noted above).
As long as it is a practice setting, and not taken too seriously, it could be a lot of fun.
