How about a mobile only virtual us open. Give us mobile players a level playing field.

We all know the mobile version of the game is slightly more difficult than the pc format.

Ie harder to find the ding regular, putt seems to break alot more on the mobile version to.

Alot of pc players shooting 53-55 I wonder what the best mobile score around there is???

Interesting point on putting. I've always found putting easier on the mobile version.

For me putts break way more on the mobile version. And are a little bit more difficult to read.

How do you gauge putting strength? Is there a PutterPal for the mobile version or do you just use that colored hint? I use avatar moves for putting and there aren't any on the mobile version.

    Jim,

Yes, there's a putter pal, works the same way as on the PC version. And that's the method I use on both. Never tried the avatar move method.

    I disagree with your premise.

The mobile and the PC have various strengths, which I believe wash out, providing neither an inherent advantage over the other. What that means is that, as always, it comes down to players' skills (all other things being equal).

Yes, it's harder to hit the ding on the mobile. But I believe that on drives and approach shots, the mobile is more forgiving than the web-based venue. On the greens, however, I believe the web-based version is slightly easier than the mobile. But I wouldn't say that the advantage is substantial.

So, we're back to it really being the player and not the game or venue it's played in (IMO).

I also disagree.  The reason the scoring is generally lower on the PC  is that a lot of the PC players have been on WGT longer than the mobile players and have had more practice.

( also the fact there was a weeks worth of practice by those scamps that broke into the course, helps. )
