Stop these nonsense “unlimited play” tournaments! How is this a competitive set-up if one can play the same course in pretty much similar conditions over and over again until he/she has a good score? Make it fair and each player has one shot at it (or at each round). This is how tournaments are supposed to be played not “try until you finally get a good score”. I understand the business aspect of having people play endless rounds on a course and use up expensive balls. But you could counter that by simply setting up way more tournaments that give players one chance of a good score. And if you hit a few bad shots,- well that’s just the way things are. Move on and try in the next tournament again.

This would likely also eliminate those ridiculously low scores (to some extend at least)

Are you serious ? You played the Feb. Chambers 9 hole unlimited over 20xs and also the Pebble 18 hole unlimited 5xs and sucked at both of them . Then you complain about unlimited play events . You need all of the help you can get and if you had to play single play you would never play .

So before you complain about how much events should be played , make sure your score history doesnt show youve played it for over 100xs . What a joke .

Correction lonnie, he/she played it 38 times between 2/2 and 2/15, including 8 times on the 10th. Average score for these rounds = 64.21, which includes 19 rounds (exactly 50%) above 60. It's interesting, as he/she seems to get worse the more they played it...their first round was a 43, which was the best score of the 38 posted. By the end of the streak, they were shooting in the high 80s...

Well that may look like it to you but the only reason why I had to play those tournaments over and over again was a glitch in the game that resulted in wgt to drop my average score by over 12 points after a single 9 hole tournament. They realized this was mathematically impossible but unable to manually fix it so I had to saturate my scored rounds to level it out. Trust me,- I don’t “suck” as much as you may think if you look at my other stats, but that is really beside the point here. My point was that those endless “unlimited play” tournaments do nothing for the integrity of a true tournament set-up

I agree. Unlimited play tournaments is almost like enabling the mulligan button.

No I was right and Im not new to the game . You are only a L94 Legend with a 62.34avg . So if the game were to drop your avg. down 12 points that would be to your advantage and nothing to fuss about . Also if you posted those rounds to raise your avg. then you arent saturated . Once you saturate your avg wont go up when posting a high score , it will only go down .

High scores will only register but have no effect on your average after reaching saturation . Like I said Im not new to the game will have 6 year anniversary next month . If you dont like unlimited play then dont play them if you feel that they are unfair . But do you feel this way when you play and win one or only when you arent in first place ?

In my 6 years of playing the game the only time players complain about a game is when its not going their way . As long as they are hitting the perfect shots , the game is going their way and they are winning , not a word not a sound or a peep . But the moment the game changes for them then the complaints start .They want to find all kinds of faults with the game . So come back and complain after you start winning the unlimiteds as a legend then folks might feel for you . :-)

Unfortunately you don’t really know what happened and you comment on an issue you don’t fully understand. In any case WGT knows what happened and they are aware of that glitch and that it was nothing they could do to fix it. So in order to avoid a similar glitch I had to saturate my scored rounds. In any case,- this post has absolutely nothing to do with mu score, abilities or me whining about the game as I am one of the rare players who can take a bad shot for what it is. So instead of making this about me,- it should be about the game integrity as a whole. No problem to keep some unlimited tournaments so “gamers” can continue to keep trying a tournament over and over again until they finally got all the right shots and lucky breaks combined in one round J … Maybe we should suggest this to the PGA tour also,-let those guys play the course as long as they want until someone has a real low score and therefore must be the best player? J

Well in case you hadnt noticed you have the opportunity to play the same way . Unlimited play does nothing towards the integrity of the the game  because all players can play as much as they like . When players cant have their way then the integrity of the game is called into question .  Like I said earlier players only complain when they cant win . I have yet to see anyone come into the forums when they are winning and everything is going their way .

As for making this about you it was your thread and your comments that I was discussing . I know how saturation works like I said been here playing going on 6 years and I understand more than you may wish to give me credit for . When the PGA starts using the game to play its tournaments be sure to bring this up to them , until then lets just keep this between us here at WGT .

WGT as well as country clubs set various tournaments. The rules are clearly stated as well as the time frame in which to play. If unlimited tournaments are not events that you feel are fair, do not play in them. The perfect place for you might be the ready to go or bracket events. There are so many tournaments to enter that you can easily avoid the unlimited events. And if your country club is not setting enough tournaments that you feel are fair, change clubs. In other words, you were given the power to choose so do just that.

It would seem that you are free to pick and choose which tournaments you want to enter and there are plenty of single play tournaments from which you can play.  If you don't like the unlimited play options, you should probably not play in them.
