    hi wgters

well.. few days ago i had the possibility to  try  free rent (i reached lvl 97)  the

Callaway Steelhead XR Iron Set (L97+)

what say... i was so sceptical about the possibility to change my vapors nike with this new irons but since when i tryied it they were so solid. i was sure that the vapor ex lvl 100 were the best irons but after the free rent i purchased these new one and WOWWWW

the slowing meter give players more precision on dings and they works really good.. the forgivness is good and about me it seems the math is the same of vapor.. i play the 61/81/90bb nike and they are perfect.. better then the vapor ex - level 100..

    someone else had my sensation???

    Are they that good?

Thought they were virtually the same as NIKE Vapor Irons (L92), only with a bit slower swing meter.

I did the same thing and didn't regret it. They lack in precision and height of the ball flight compared to the L100 nikes, but the slower meter gets me a lot more dings and a better comfort in my rounds. nevertheless, if you can hit the ding with the nikes, I would stick with them

Actually not really . The  new cally clubs are the old nikes that were removed from the game .They are slightly slower .2 than the old nike clubs and thats all . I played with them during the last free rental and to me they played no different than the nike L100 irons . I tried out all of the new line from driver to irons and they were ok . They are good solid clubs but saw no reason to invest 11,000 credits in an unneeded upgrade .

Now for the newer players coming up they will get a good solid set of clubs just like the nikes . But other than that to me it would be a waste of credits for players who already have the top nike clubs to turn around and buy the new top Cally clubs . Unless they just want new eye candy as thats all they would be .

You're correct. Only slower by 0.2.

Didn't have the chance to use the Nikes as I couldn't hit lvl 95 before they were removed so I can't compare them with Cally Steelheads.

I do use the Steelheads and find them to be a good club. The biggest difference from the TaylorMades I was using is the meter speed. Thats why I bought them. Distance is pretty much the same. I will say using backspin with them seems to stop the ball a little better than the TaylorMades, especially on uphill shots.

But as someone else said here, if you're thinking about replacing your Nikes with the Steelheads, rent them first to make sure you're not just blinded by the shiny new club.
