I've been calculating my putting numbers by following the advice given here. I would like to use the Putting power tip ( green bar ). How accurate and reliable is this? thanks

If you mean the putter pal then the answer is its very reliable . But also learn how to use the avatar movements . Go to Bethpage hole #2 and get on the green  and learn how to putt using the avatar . Each movement will equal so many feet depending on the green speed . Do this in practice stroke play setting and use the free ball and the mulligan . Then putt each scale of your putter 15 , 30 ,60 , and so forth .

Once you learn how to putt this way you will be more precise with your putts . You have one of the best putters in the pro shop and it putts very well using this method . Hope this helps .

Gary Pinhunter ::tips hat::  has an excellent chart of "putting power" on his web page that you might find useful (not to mention the tons of other great info there).  I used the same putter you are using and it matches the Daytona Scale very well.

The OP is talking about the mobile version where you get a green area in the meter that suggests how hard to putt. I'm interested in knowing the answer, too, as there are no avatar movements and that's the only way I know how to putt.  :-)

The green area is only in practice mode for mobile. Putter pal and shot pal work as normal on mobile but  far as the avi movement method, got nothing Jim. Seems it just can't be done on mobile for putting or swinging.

The green bar in the putting meter works even in random play, or playing with friends. It's doesn't work on tourney, or just doing courses.

Dont know about the mobile as I only play on laptop . I keep it turned off but from what I can tell its not exact . It only gives a general suggestion of the amount of power . Just like the caddy will suggest a club this does the same thing .  It will suggest the amount of power ranging from the least amount of power to the most amount . But you the player will have to pick the exact point of range to putt which will depend on green speed and amount of break .

Bottom line a perfect waste of program added to the game . Between using the putter pal and avatar movements nothing else is needed once you learn how to putt .
