While we know you are working quite hard to open up the Congressional I have to ask my self why is has been so hard to get new pin placements. Really, explain how hard it is to have about 4, 5 or even 6 different pin placements per hole on courses that are over a year old. My thought process tells me this is more a "Who gives a crap about keeping game play interesting" rather than an expensive technical issue. Whats your thoughts WGT?

because it involves going back to the course and taking new pictures....

    WGTniv:
Pin placements do take a while to implement because of the photo-realistic nature of the game.  Each photo we have (both on and very close to the green) points to the specific location for where the pin is now.  In order to switch pins we have to switch around a few hundred different pictures on every single hole so they are centered towards the new location.  Unfortunately, that does take a little time to complete for each new set of pins.

    Cheers,

That says nothing about taking new pictures rather switching pictures around, so you know what you take a small chunk of that capital investment and hire someone to do it. Easy answer.

    You have all the answers?

I am not sure why it hasn't been done, capital, resources, time, all of the above.

But I do know it will require additional pictures to be taken and quite a few at that.    So it is not as easy as you make it to be.

Bogey, now you know I do not have all the answers my friend. I was just pointing out that what you posted said nothing about new photos. Edited.

Read the first post again.   it said we had to switch a few hundred pictures.  It is not a puzzle SGT!  Switch = take new ones!!!

    Good luck you there,

Read it again and again. It says switch not take! Maybe they already have them, who the hell knows.  BOGEY!!!

So you and I both know that this should have been looked at as future development issues and expansion, I sometimes think you should be a public relations officer for WGT. Cheers!

You are taking switch too literal.   Maybe it should have read switch OUT, but I am telling you what I know as a confirmed fact that more pictures are needed.

I will give you that maybe it should have been looked at for future expansion, but then everyone would be crying even more about why the new courses are taking so long!!!

Everyone wants there cake and eat it too.

    cheers,

Personally I like cake, but not all types.

Furthermore,it has never really made any sense to me that one can take their cake, but not eat it.I mean, where would be the benefit in taking a cake in the first place? Talking of first places,I won a fairy cake making contest when I was in Brownies, and the one that the judge lady tasted was the very one that another(jealous) girl had knocked "accidently" onto the floor just prior to judgeing. So in a way,the judge lady took her cake,AND ate it.The offending girl who was jealous went home that day minus quite a bit of her hair.
