I'm quite happy with the Driver I have right now, but I'm willing to trade it for something better. I have to wait little longer for the TM L103, for now, I'm looking at the Callaway L85 ( 282 yards ) high trajectory. Is this a significant improvement? thanks

The cally L85 is better yes, but at the Master level/tees you don't need it yet.  The one you have is fine right now so IMO save your credits.

L103 is likely a couple of years away -- depending on how much you play.

With the driver I have now does not go over the trees, being just a med/high trajectory. Will this L85 Callaway go over the trees?

When upgrading clubs you want to make the upgrades last as long as you can  . What you dont want is to start chasing your tail and looking for a magic wand because there isnt one . At your tier the clubs you have are fine and you already have the best club of all at L70 your putter . Learn how to read the greens and play the breaks . Focus on your putting and work on it day and night .

Also work on the rest of your game as well .  Good course management shot selection ball placement and again good putting skills . Your next club upgrade should come after L90 so plan your clubs for after you move back again on the Tees .Your final move backward will be Legend tier and after that no more moving just faster greens . So plot your course and prepare the way for your moves .

Keep the driver you got.  Worry about a new driver when and if you are hitting from the back tees.

Are you using full backspin to try to get over trees?  If not, then give it a try.

It might also be because the tees you are hitting from are too close to the tree you're trying to get over.

No I don't use backspin on Drive, unless I don't want the extra roll, I will try it though. There are couple of drives that I can't go over trees. I think I will get the L85 Driver, just not going to sell my old one. I use it to play against my wife, don't want her to be at disadvantage, although she beats me almost everytime-:))

Some holes -- BPB #2 comes readily to mind, absolutely require full bs to get over the tree. And some, like Olympic #5, require full ts to get under the big branch.

These from the Legend tees. Your mileage will vary from the shorter ones.

In any event, adding a bit of backspin to most drives will lead to longer drives. Give it a try.
