Being a combat vet from that era, I can tell you first hand that it took us to over 50 years to get our homecoming, and it wasnt anything to write home about. Those that were drafted, or enlisted, it didn't matter, what mattered most was the love of this great country. Was it a needed, or wanted issue, didn't matter either, we were asked to go and serve, and we did! Being a 91B (combat medic) I saw first hand the horrors of what man has made to destroy each other. But mostly the self sacrifice that was endured, and most amazingly was they had no regrets. So yes I agree 1000% a something to remember all whom served not for just this country, but for any country that was defended by anyone who plays on here. If you believed strongly enough to fight for it, then God bless you, and thank you. Give us something for Memorial week end.
