just a question to anyone out here that has won a giftcard from wgt - how long does it take to receive that prize?

I won the skytrak tournament in march :

    http://www.wgt.com/golf-tournaments/stroke-play/putt-a-spring-in-your-step-skytrak-challenge-leaderboard.aspx?id=ffcb35031ab349028670a72401497cb6

    and I haven't received anything.

ive had multiple correspondences with wgt CS and also spoke to skytrak on livechat and both have amounted to nothing.

wgt has told me on multiple accounts that skytrak has my details, which I provided to wgt at the start of april. subsequently I have heard nothing from either party about it apart from wgt repeatedly telling me skytrak has my details.

skytrak livechat guy (Kenneth) actually told me to email skytrak support (customerservice@skygolf.com)  which I tried to do but the message bounced.

apparently Kenneth told me : Kenneth Tharpe

You can email our support at customerservice@skygolf.com so they would follow up with you. The email may bounce back but they would receive the email on their end and help you on that.

so anyway, I have all emails and messages saved just in case nothing happened, and nothing has happened lol.

im writing this because theres a new skytrak tournament out today - and its offering a giftcard for winning it HAHAHAHHA.

seriously tho, if any previous giftcard winners can post here and let me know the approximate timeframe for receiving a prize, itd be greatly appreciated, since im getting nowhere with wgt/topgolf/skytrak themselves.

    thanks in advance.

Well I won the skytrak tournament  in the end of December, and I never got my giftcard. I emailed wgt a few times and they kept giving me the same bs excuse (we're waiting on the other winner from this tournament to give us their information so we can send the information to skytrak at the same time) Looks to me like they are just trying ti get out of paying the winners, and just want people to keep wasting a bunch of balls and having to keep buying more from them.

Best of luck to you on getting that gift card, but I doubt it'll ever happen.

Its plain and simple WGT put up the tournament, with the prize to the winner. WGT is the acting agent ,it is their responsibility to pay the prize. WGT has to deal with skytrak  for the reimbursement.

One lucky winner chosen at random and one for the top of the leaderboard. I see you at the top of the leaderboard with the 100.00 under "prize", but scanning the complete list of participants, I do not see a 100.00 attached to any other player. Is the one lucky winner chosen at random just a crock as well? lol

I won the SkyTrak monitor back in Nov 2015 and received a message from shoe within a couple of hours of the tourney ending, wanting my name, address, etc.

If I remember correctly, this message would have been the 1st of Dec. 2015.

After not hearing anything for 5-6 weeks, I wrote CS. They told me that I needed to get in touch with Skytrak about it.

I tried, but at the time, there wasn't any way to "contact" Skytrak, so I wrote CS to ask them how to get in touch with Skytrak.

After a week or so of back and forth, I finally got a chat link for SKytrak CS. When I started that conversation....they didn't have a clue what I was talking about, and had no clue what or who WGT was!!! (I still have the entire, very, very long conversation).

After days of going back and forth with the folks at Skytrak..someone who knew about WGT and the tourney got it straightened out. I received the Skytrak in late Feb, I think.

No idea why WGT puts up a tourney and then tells the winner it's their job to collect the prize.

The U.S. Open trip was a different story altogether. Maybe because the USGA was involved, WGT handled it much more professional and businesslike.

The Amazon cards (from the Pro Shop) come really quickly (usually within a day or two at most).

    Good luck Tom

hm yea its really starting to feel that way for sure!

its almost like they want us to buy balls and spend money but when it comes to actually paying out....... well apparently if they keep silent enough we go away? is that the tactic lol

in pretty much any country and business with integrity, yeap that usually happens.

im now beginning to think (even more)  than wgt/topgolf doesn't have much of that immeasurable quality that is integrity.

I ask the same questions regarding every other 'random prize winners' - do they actually get their prizes? wgt/topgolf has never been transparent in this regard - where are the lists of winners?

yes ive been awarded a paper prize and even had 100.00 added to my career winnings.... but the real world prize is a distant thought right now.

id love to see anyone else chiming in with their thoughts on this!

ME thinks i won't bother playing this tornament because this sounds like a big runaround on WGT s part.

I guess the sooner we realize that they could care less about their customers the better off we will be.

I've heard about 4 or 5 of these types of issues now from WGT friends about claiming and waiting for prizes.

The "I" in integrity is not in WGT or TOPGOLF so i guess that answers that.

Cheers and sorry to hear you guys getting the runaround like this.

i am sure we all remember dansamcam.....was one of the WGT greats. He would have something to say about this i am sure, unfortunately he is another casualty of WGT and their handlings. He is now a distant memory and has walked away from the game.
