I have discovered that when I have to exit the game for any reason before having finished the hole, when I return and finish the hole, it will not give credit for having hit the fairway with the drive.

Here is my most recent example. I hit every fairway at Chambers Bay, and it shows that on my scorecard. I had to temporarily exit the game due to PC problems before putting out. After returning and finishing the round, my scorecard still shows that I hit every fairway, but my stats "Driving %" is not 100%. Instead, it reflects that I had missed a fairway.

I have had this problem several times. So I have been watching close to see if that is really what is happening. Has anyone else ever noticed this? I pointed out the error in my stats to CS, and speculated that what I am describing is what has caused the issue. However, I think they kind of ignored my speculation as to what needs to be fixed.

    Hi BP

I'm not sure if it's the case here but I had something similar in my approach shot stats. when I eagled a hole. My greens in regulation percentage was down. I'm thinking that on the par 3s maybe something happened, assuming of course you went straight from tee to green.

    Cheers!

Never heard of that in 5+ years. But, a fix of this minor-minor issue can't be expected. And, are you sure to want it with the risk of a really big new flaw as a result?

I should have just tested this to begin with. It is easy to duplicate. If I play the first hole at Chambers Bay (and most likely every course, and every hole), and if I hit the fairway, then exit the game before finishing the hole. When I return and finish the hole, the scorecard will show that I hit the fairway, but the stats will show 0% of fairways hit. I know that others have wondered what could cause the driving % to be off. I have seen it asked in forums, and have asked myself. I have even had CS try to speculate where their glitch may be. Now we know at least one of the causes of this error.

Yes, I would like to see them fix it. However, I am still quite new to the WGT, and I have yet to gain a faith in their ability to make a problem worse. Give me time. I may find that faith. lol And you are right. I do already have the faith that there will be no attempt to fix this "minor-minor" issue.

If you hit a green on your drive, you missed the fairway.  Could this be part of it? Rough, fairway, fringe, green, only one of the 4 is counted for fairways hit, in your stats.
