    Hello all,

I and several other players play rounds on Twitch I would like to encourage you all to come watch and follow our progress.

Also, look up WGT Golf on YouTube and you will be able to catch both played rounds and instructional videos.

    Hope this helps you,

    Ezzy

    Hi there,

I was an avid viewer of a few folk that stream using Twitch (sure I've seen yourself over @ Young46's channel) until fairly recently when for some reason the broadcasts became impossible to watch due to the stream totally freezing and/or loss of sound problems, etc.

I googled the issue and it seems it was fairly widespread but could not find a solution other than turning OFF the HTML5 option via an on-screen option menu whilst viewing. When I did the aforementioned the stream would play fine for a few seconds and then start to have problems again.

Until the above started happening I'd been able to view, and on occasion actually play alongside, those streaming.

Haven't tried for a while now as it was becoming just too frustrating trying to interact with others.

Any info on what I've experienced?

    Cheers,

    Johnny.

    Hi Johnny,

Thank you for being out there and watching.  Perhaps the playback quality is too high for your bandwidth?

On the playback window click on the gear icon (settings) and look at the playback video quality.  Sometimes if it is too high (source) the bandwidth keeps stopping the stream to accumulate enough buffer.

I hope this helps.  I have similar issues when i watch on my iPad, but on my PC im fine.

I had this happen to me the other day, I cleared out my cache, restarted my browser and it worked again.

Yes, I had an old laptop and win vista so I had to do that, turn OFF the HTML5 option via an on-screen option on the bottom gear icon on the twitch screen.

But on my new Win 10 the html5 player is ok.

Sometimes adblock interferes w/ my playback so I have to fiddle with it.  (adblk settings)

Wouldn't think so, Ezzy,  80-100mbps is more than adequate, yeah?

I did do exactly the above last time I was over in Twitchland to no avail, Jason  Icon.   :0)

I too use Windows 10, have done for long enough without any issues until the problems arose that I mentioned - that's what has me perplexed.

Sure I've already tried turning my adblock off altogether to see if it made any difference.

Thanks for the replies, peeps. I'll pop over to Twitch later today to see if things have improved.

Someone was having a similar problem with Jason's stream. They switched browsers and they were able to watch.

Ditto, I use three browsers MS Edge, Maxthon and Chrome. When one doesn't work, I try the other.

IMO logging out then back into Twitch is also part of my routine , esp. when editing and exporting my streams because of a few bugs w/ authorization etc.

Remiss of myself not to have replied here sooner. Ezzy's advice to drop the playback quality worked a treat.

The clarity of the live streams I'm seeing is remarkably clear/sharp. No lag whatsoever with the images and sound now in perfect sync.

As per the PM; thanks, Ezzy.
