There are several questions that need to be answered before it can be decided if you are playing too much golf. The first has to do with how your body reacts if you don't play. Do you feel agitated or get a headache? Does your nose start running or your hands start shaking? Do you vomit? If the answer is "yes" you are over the edge, play too much, and need an intervention!
A "no" answer gives you some room but has not fully answered the part about too much. Going forward, have you gotten out of bed at a weird hour and immediately started playing? Do you now keep track of the time in various places in the world where your favorite golfer friends live? Do you have a spread sheet where you list any and all information about golfers on your friends list for easy access when you play with them? Do you go to the WGT pro shop on a regular basis and check the specs on equipment and balls? Do you take real money and buy credits? Do you spend an hour or more each day trying to get "free" credits? Do you eat meals while playing? Answer "yes" to three of these questions and you might be on the edge of playing too much. Answer yes to all of them and you need help but you are not yet addicted.
