Drove the 180+ miles each way to play this one today for $12 including cart, ice chest, two 17 oz. bottles of water and a towel for each player. I found the deal through GolfNow. Normal prices range from $45 to $73. I couldn't resist the extra drive since I'm driving a Prius and I've wanted to play at Primm for years. I wasn't going to let a little heat deter me. 95*F when we teed off and pushing 110*F when we finished but it honestly didn't feel that hot.

These are the courses tied in with the Whiskey Pete's and Primm casinos at State Line.. Due to the nature of their business the hospitality is tremendous and they keep the courses in very good shape. When I pulled up this morning I was met at the car by a cart girl who made sure the cart was well equipped with water and ice, loaded the clubs and made sure we were escorted to driving range (free golf balls on the range!), the practice green, chipping practice area and the correct first tee (they have two courses).
These are very nice resort courses with some water, lots of waste areas that are very penalizing and very challenging bunkers. Most of the bunkers have deep lips and at this time of the year suffer from the problem almost every desert course has... The sand is very hard due to the heat.
The greens roll excellently. They are receptive to incoming shots but they are not soft. They have a lot of slope to them, much more than appears to the eye. It took a while to figure them out.
As is typical of casino courses, amenities are expensive. A 20 oz. Diet Coke from the beer cart was $3.00. The bar & grill onsite is pricey, too, but the quality and flavor is very good.
Primm is absolutely a good place to play.
