Hello. I would like to make a suggestion to improve the game. I hope you get my idea. Although I can not speak English well, it is difficult for me to communicate with the player during the game. Sometimes I tried to use an external translator, but it is at the expense of playing

Could not integrate the translator directly into WGT?

I would translate or try to translate what the opponents wrote to Czech and others in their language. The compiler would be optional. Who would not want to use it. I think that for experienced programmers like WGT it would not be a problem to write a code that works with text, player language information, and an external translator.

The only unpleasant fact for you is that a company running a compiler might want to use your money, But the benefit of communication between players would definitely balance the investment. The internet is mainly about communication.

Thanks for reading my suggestion and looking forward to the answer.

    Nice day wishes

    J.Nun

Google translate dělá to zdarma jen potřebuje další okno být otevřený

This is a great idea.   WGT players come from all over the world and a translator would strengthen WGT as an international game.

    Hey NunTaj,

I don't think you need any kind of translator. I fully understand what you're saying. :-)

Using and incorporating an external translator with WGT will involve another license and contractual matters. Let me remind you that this is a company which for its convenience and against most of its clients' will, terminated a contract with a golf course a lot of players had enjoyed playing so it's hardly ever gonna happen.

I support your idea and suggestion, though.

    Cheers.

    Simon

The downside to a translator is that even the best ones don't understand idioms and jargon well at all. And the game of golf has plenty of both.

I'd be happier if they disengaged the chat from the game like it used to be so you could actually use your own translator. As it is now, every screen change requires you to find the text box to say anything.

Don't be so sure about it. I used to laugh at Google Translator with its translation level (It even provided the exact opposite meaning at times.) about five years ago, but now thanks to the rapid development of artificial intelligence and data accumulation, it somestimes gives me goose bumps as it sounds so natural like a real human being! I'm not talking about the translation among similar Indo-European languages, but from English to Korean! (Korean to English still needs lots of works to be done...) So can you imagine how it will be improved the next five years to come? Human translators and interpreters are on the brink of being out of work! Frankly... the future with AI scares me!
