    This thread might be helpful. It's a discussion of Cleveland vs. ATV.

    First off Here vs hear;

    Here is a place and Hear is what you perceive with your ear.

    Secondly at level 72 you are a very long way away from acquiring those clubs. But when you do they are well worth the price. I use them with the "rock" and very happy with all three.

    Zio is correct.  L86 is around 325K XP.  L87 is around 355K and L89 is around 428K.  L80 (for the CW 64 degree) is around 210K by comparison.  So you have quite a ways to go to reach those levels.

    Enjoy the game.

    I love my ATV's, I like them better than the Clevelands.

    To my way of thinking the ATV's are not all that great. I still have 2 of the Z-satin wedges that the ATV's replaced. The ATV's aren't even as good as those 2 wedges. And they cost more than twice what the old Z-satin wedges did, I feel that they lack the consistency of both the Cleveland wedges and the old Z-Satins and I like the 60/80/100 yard distances of the Cleveland wedges better than the 50/75/90 yard distances if the ATV.s

    Many of the people who say they love the ATV's never had the Z-Satins to compare them to.

    Hmm - I see the same 50 - 77 - 98 yds than the Z-Satins (and more) at the L38/39 ATVs, some odd 90 / 110 yds at L64 and nice&straight 50 - 75 - 100 at L86+. I favour the wider stretch against 60-80-100 of the Cleves.

    I agree that they have become very expensive (but the top Cleves cost 30% more now), and I still use my trusty 64° Z-Satin ;)

    I actually like my Clevelands just fine.  When I said Zio was correct, I was referring to how far away L86 and the like and is from where the OP is now.  I was vague about what I meant.  I have never tried those ATVs in question.

    I had the earlier ATVs, but I never liked that weird spacing.  The 60-80-100 yards of the Clevelands makes sense, especially with the top level iron sets PW having a distance of 120 yards.

    I'm thinking that upper level wedges are like better putters, that it comes down to how they "feel".

    I think this is spot on. When the new Callaway wedges came out not that long ago, I thought about trying them out. But I decided not to because (a) I'm very comfortable with the Cleveland wedges, and (b) I"m not convinced I would see any difference in scoring.

    Any problems I have with scoring with my wedges is clearly not the fault of the clubs. Like the balls a person decides to play, a person just has to find the wedges he/she likes and stick with them

    As a newer player myself, I'm just realizing how "leveling up" drags out once you get past the mid-70's or so.  Holy smokes.

    Saw a post here the other day where someone noted that the XP needed to get from L1 to L82 was the same as what is needed to get from L82 to L89.  Put another way: on the journey from L1 to L89, the "halfway point" is L82.

    I still play cheapo wedges, and I think they're pretty darned decent - though maybe that's just because I don't know what I'm missing.  :-)

    Given how long it takes to level up, I imagine I'll be playing the cheapo wedges for a good while longer, and I'm OK with that.  In my experience, when I swing the club exactly how I want to, these wedges put the ball exactly where I expect them to, with remarkable consistency.  When they do go awry, it's pretty much always my fault.
