Yeah, I've been processing my report on this.
Faterson holed in a flop shot at hole 1, and thereafter it was a long string of disasters for him, as opposed to ThunderBoltz's very solid approach shots. The recovery came on hole 15, when Faterson's powerful 3wood approach shot ended up curving gently on the most feared Bethpage green to stop 6.5ft from pin and secure a par putt. That was when Faterson was already 6 strokes behind. Between holes 15 and 17, the deficit was reduced by 4 strokes, but another bogey by Faterson on the final hole meant that the Hack Belt deservedly goes to ThunderBoltz who only got dragged down in this game by the bad play of his opponent. The telling stats of the game are probably Faterson's 11% for GIR.
