Make the Virtual Tour real!

  I think it's a great idea and i would prefer it if it was 4 single play rounds. It would make the game more realistic. Wgt do say this is the most realistic golf sim so why not make it more so.

  Sure the leaderboards would have mostly the same names at the top but it would give a few others a chance that could shoot some consistent 58's in single play that otherwise aren't good enough to shoot 54's in unlimited.

  It'll never happen though as it won't bring in the dollar.

  Im all for 4 single rounds... But that will nerver happend wgt needs there cut too.. What we can hope ask for is make it 3 rounds 1 unlimited and 2 single rounds.. 20 days for the first round and 5 days more or less for each single round.

  I think most of us agree that unlimited tournaments are not what we are looking for. So - yes - it would be great to have single round tournaments only. We also know that WGT needs revenue and we have to assume that ball consumption in unlimited formats is a significant revenue generator.

  Only chance (and it is only a very small one) would be to propose a win win solution.

  Potentially something like:

  1. Introduce a virtual tour card so you are eligible to enter all VT tournaments
      Two ways to obtain this tour card:
        1. earn it by qualifying in an unlimited tournament or
        2. just pay for it (like a sponsor exemption, just that you are paying yourself)

  2. Additionally to the tour card run an unlimited qualifier for each VT tournament and again give the opportunity to pay yourself in.

   

  I fear that quite a few will not like that idea at all - so I can even throw in a new uneven virtual tour :-)

   

  This should generate at least as much revenue as the ball consumption.

  WGT'S ideaology seems to be a tough nut to crack. let's remember a leopard never changes it's spots so there is no point in trying to pick a fight with it.

  Would appear you haven't quite grasped the concept of eliminating unlimited first rounds for monthly and quarterly VT tournaments. 

  Suggesting unlimited rounds to obtain a Tour Card for each tournament is just complicating than the current unlimited format. '

  Round 1 VT "1st attempt" should be for free. Now if you want to replay the 1st round and have a 2nd attempt  on it because you have no life or job, this will cost you 500 credits, If you FK up the 2nd round as well and want to have a 3rd attempt it will cost you 1000 Credits. You only get 3 attempts to post a score in round 1 sooo........if you mess it up (Stiff T1tt1es) All remaining rounds should be "Single Play"

  Wouldn't want to see you have to stoop to such a disagreeable position, and sacrifice your integrity. 

  In any case, it doesn't sound very egalitarian and would most likely spark class animosity, perhaps resulting in violent social and political revolution. 

  I can visualise it now, the plebs who can't afford a second or third attempt will rise up and overthrow the corrupt establishment, most likely replacing it with something similar, like WGTism with "plebist" characteristics.

  Best not to compromise at all on eliminating unlimited rounds for monthly and quarterly VT tournaments.

  I hope for four single rounds.

  The only compromise I'd be happy with is any number of single rounds for VT tournaments. I'm sure you feel the same.

  As I've mentioned previously, WGT already provide a ridiculous amount of monthly and weekly unlimited tournaments, in addition to club unlimited tournaments and CC events.

  There is no excuse to molest the major tournaments in order to garner extra pillage.

  You'll find that players that shoot regular 56-59 in single round Readygo and Bracket also shoot the occasional 53-55.

  Not being good enough to shoot low is hardly a problem, whether unlimited or single play.

  Rather, the problem is that all top players know that in order to be competitive in the second round,  they are compelled to post a very low score in the first round. A score that would normally be exceptional in a single round format.

  All top players experience poor rounds, but some experience them less than others.

  Unlimited rounds use up golf balls = why WGT has so many unlimited round tourneys. From a competition/fun perspective, 4 single play rounds (like RL) would be preferable. But that is not WGT's preference
