Putting with Driver !

  Thought i'd share this and see if anyone has done anything similar, it's on the 5th green at St Andrews

  lol...seriously, Ive seen a legend I was playing with do it on a hole and make the putt.....nice putt Helen

  Awesome!

  Way better than my fancy putter has ever managed from 77 feet :(

  Another trick I have seen performed by a member of our country club,is (when the ball is close to,and in line with the hole) he takes a full swing with the Driver and whoosh,in it goes!

  He calls it the poof and putt..lol!

  Hi Helen,

   Ive see this done before @ short range >>> can you tell me how its done ive tried it and no success>>>GRRR

  Digginforoil,

  It's not that hard to do, the only hard thing is getting the distance right, the trick is to " punch " every shot when you putt with driver, if you don't do that, all you get is an air shot !

  If your less than a foot away you can do it with full power on the driver, seen it done.

  I have used the three wood many times when the ball was touching the rough, with favorable results, but never tried a driver off the green. I think I will practice that shot at 100' plus.
