3 wood Lvl 97 or wait for 98

  Hi fellow players. Hitting level 97 this week, was just wondering from those who have the Level 98 3 wood is it worth waiting an extra 4 months and extra CR?

  Since you already have the Bertha driver get the 3 wood for the meter . But understand this you will have to learn this 3 wood . As a miss ding player I had very few problems with it but I never truly tested it . Cant say how it really plays with high winds but I found it a good club in lesser winds .

  But since you have the driver the meter speed wont be a problem . I hadnt noticed that WGT had dropped it down a few levels from L99+ to 97+ and even lowered the price .So get it the worse thing that can happen is you will do a club swap when you hit level 100+ . Also keeping your meter as close to 1 speed helps for a smoother meter and a more consistant swing . Plus the Fusion 3 wood is slower and not at L98 but L99 which is a longer ride than you expected .

  Yes I was wrong, the Fusion is at Level 99. That makes it a 6 month wait for a club with maybe a little more carry & stopping power. Decision is easy now, will go with the Big Bertha and match my driver. Thanks

  When I owned the level 97 Big Bertha 3 wood I never fully trusted the club. It worked as advertised when I hit the ding, but missing the ding was a different story. I always felt that trying to push the club to its maximum distance and missing the ding exacerbated the left/right variance. When I backed off several percent on power that same miss was much more reasonable and controllable. So my decision was that as soon as I could replace it, I would.
