Firefox other browser window cannot be shut down. Locks up game.

  I intentionally shut down the site wgt.com window and leave only the game window up, while at work, as it is easier to track and also seems to play faster if the site window is shut. On Chrome, I can shut the other window and the game keeps playing, but in Firefox it locks up the game every time. 100% of the time. It happens on paid games, with high betting, via Del sol, so its bothersome and needs to be fixed.

  I noticed that too. Firefox is horrible for WGT honestly, way too laggy and slow even on a good pc like mine

  Not true. What browser works best depends on the individuals set up.  Firefox works the best for me and believe me I have tried them all.

  As far as the game window closing, I have never experienced that. I never use the 'Play Now' button that opens the pop-up window. I use the direct link that can be found on my blog under 'Game Client'. try that and see what happens

  I've tried all the available things, Firefox, IE and Google and without a doubt Google Chrome is the best for WGT.  Took a bit to get used to it but after a few days, you realize it is far better than anything out there.

  Might be in the way you have FF configured, I use often for playing and always run with only the game info open. Like ithers have suggested, I too use the direct link to the game client and don't ever use the 'play now ' option to open a 2nd window.....

  Clicking on Play Now (in Chrome) doesn't open a separate browser anymore like it used to. I thought I was seeing things so I closed out and tried again. Sure enough, the game opens in the same window. Nice little change, now for the friends list....    ;-)
