Although there are those who don't like or play the clash events, there are many who do. And I suspect that many of them, like me, get a bit fed up with playing the same course clash after clash.
So here's a suggestion that should be relatively easy to implement - the event lasts for 48 hours, so it can easily be split into 12 x 4 hour segments, with the first segment starting at zero hour. Excluding Best of Par 3s and Bandon Dunes, there are stilll 15 courses available to play - if 12 of those 15 courses were selected by whomever sets up the clash events, and each of those selected courses were allocated to a single 4 hour segment, nobody would ever have to play the same course in consecutive clashes.
Too simplistic? I don't think so - and we wouldn't have the absurd situation of some clubs getting multiple clashes on the par 5s and other clubs getting multiple clashes on Merion - it's called 'an even playing field'.
