The game is neither hella choppy nor otherwise choppy for me and thousands of other site users. The meter does skip sometimes, but you can just let the meter pass all the way to the right, without hitting the ball, and then take another swing. That is all that's required for many of us to overcome the "jerky meter" syndrome.
