Next downtime: "It's usually around the end of the month Dave."

Yes - to put in the next set of monthly tournaments, eh?

I'd suggest moving those to challonge, our CC has them there with no issues.
Thanks for the Suggestion But that would not work for us.

Whoever he is, please test the fix before shoe-horning it into the forum. None of us want another month of this.

I do a lot of programming and I have backups and when I tinker, I use a backup in case it does not work or I mess it up.

They know what the fixes are going to affect. Load it and test that area of the program. I have multiple servers on computer, they can do the same thing.

When is everyone going to get that?!?

I have spent over a grand on this game (and screw all you "ha ha I never spent a penny" tosspots), and I spent my last $10 the day after the F*CK-UP

    Congratulations, UGT.

    ..................... .......................Wrong approach

I am a fellow New Havener of tf1506's, so you can call me biased if you wish, Dave, but please, pray tell, what is the approach to take after a month of one of the worst failures in UGT's existence?

    Polite posts herein?

Been done - no result other than "we're on it"

Bombarding the poor bastards in Customer Service?

Been done - no result other than getting on the backs of good folks who are not in ANY WAY responsible for this.

Withholding our custom would do it - but there are too many selfish tossers playing this game for that to have any effect, so again - pray tell - what is the RIGHT APPROACH?

The right approach? It's been said, but does anyone listen, no. As it is in any business, the only way to get the higher ups to listen, is to hit them in the pocketbooks! When profits fall, so do heads! As a person higher up in the chain, they don't want to hear things about how c/s is being bombarded, or that the forums are all lit up with people complaining, either nicely or nastily. But when the profit boards are lit up by going down, now you have their attention. It's just the way of business world today, money always will speak louder than words!

So people, who aren't being affected by these eff-ups (cause their CCs have their own sites, which they use for communication and comps), are selfish tossers, cause they keep having fun playing this game, while you biatch about issues? I do apologise for all of us, who's hard working CC management had made sure a long time ago, that they'd put a system in place, that would minimise WGT eff-ups influence. They're not selfish, they're the most selfless people I know. I think the selfish tossers (as you put it) are the ones who prefer to biatch and swear, rather to work on a bypass. Like your CC mate, who proved he's an idiot a long time ago with his posts here. ...........................................They'll fix it when they feel like it, simple truth. I hope for all who feel affected by this, that they do it ASAP.

Scott's suggested HTML editor works a charm for this particular - and very serious - glitch.

But it shouldn't be necessary and most folks probably couldn't be bothered.

Now we "just" need solutions for these "minor" problems:

    1. The incessant, unpredictable and time-consuming "award" pop-ups. How many times do we need to be flushed down the drain?

    2. WGT's failure to provide alternative pins on a host of courses after years of waiting - and despite the shock loss of Oakmont this year.

    3. The uncertainties surrounding Nike balls and the Flash format.

    4. World poverty.

You are right that we should not be subjected to these glitches. They should have a run through before putting it out to the paying customers.

I would love to have more pin positions, but the course would have approve it, I'm sure.

Uncertanies with flash should be no biggie, they already run the mobile game without flash. I would imagine HTML, I'm not sure.

Nikes, yes a lot of us use them but if they replaced them it would probably be the same spec's.

World Poverty~ Survive the best we can
