I've played WGT for years but I am now losing interest due to the fact that I've been placed in the Master division with an average score of 72.8. There is no chance that I will place in any tournaments because the averages of the winning scores in -10 to -17 each tournament.

I think you should create various handicap tiers and place the players in those tiers based on their existing handicaps (average scores). Example - master tier (average scores of 58-61), next tier (average score 62-65), next tier (66-69), next tier (70-72), etc...

This would give all players a reasonable chance to compete and bring about more interest and participation in the tournaments.

Have a look at the Golfseekers website, I think it's www.golfseekers.co.uk, they have a number of competitions that are all handicap based. A lot of good members there and players of all standards. The active members on that site are all very friendly and helpful to those that have newly joined.

I think there's a stickied thread in these forums under the Community Organised Events section relating to Golfseekers. Have a look in there for further info.
