I really agree that putting/short game practice is essential to the game. Putting is nearly 1/2 of the game, and DOES consist of 1/2 the game if played a completely even round with 100% GIR and hit fairways. For putting/short game practice, the following should be considered:
- Custom ball locations, placeable by the player
- Ability to place OFF green for chip, pitch and flop shots AND sand recovery practice
- Choice of any hole on any available course, potentially including a generic "practice green" that is not any of the 18 holes on the course
A smoother swing meter would be nicer, but sometimes it might just be the user's PC. My concern about the swing meter though: While I understand that less expensive clubs have less forgiveness, the randomization factor put into the various ranges seems to be a bit off. Heck even an "Excellent" can be off! I've seen myself hit an excellent on what seems like a flat lie, moving my aim towards the wind to compensate, only to end up starting my shot in the opposite direction.
Regardless, being off by 1 or 2 marks from the excellent mark should not punish as harshly as it seems like it does at times. It needs a little more consistency in its adjustment. Not specifically less change on the shot, just a little more consistency in that range of how it effects the ball.
And just quick one sentence summarizing about less important but still good features:
Left handed mode would be nice for some. Why does the list still say '"Multiplayer closest to the hole" if we already have blitz mode? I'd rather see some other features added/fixed than new courses. I hope shorter timers and fees for multiplayers (I assume this is credits) would be OPTIONAL and not affect existing practices, as I have friends that play casually on here with me, so if they disconnect it's just their own Internet issues.
Oh and a pony would be nice.
