At times in the Firefox Flash Client. I loose the ability to chat. It happens randomly, as far as I can tell.
I however have found a work around. If you are playing on Firefox, if you can't talk. Minimize the screen thing bring it back to normal size. This fixes the issue. That should give you a clue as to the root of the problem.
