I support WGT 95% of the time , The Mods have always been good to me , CS has always been helpful , If the tool bar cant be fixed they should tell us .
The mods have always been good to you?.. I still don't know what their job even is...I thought it was to act as a liaison between us and TG....silence is all we've been getting, unless it's some softball having to do with credits or how to change clubs....regardless, they should hand their paychecks over to scott hope.

I bought passes for two players(10). Now I wish I hadn't , since I totally agree with this boycott. Bubbsboy had the best suggestion of creating our own forum using ProBoard. http://www.wgt.com/forums/p/499105/3386970.aspx#3386970

    Casey,

I too fall into that category. I have always tried to see these glitch's, setbacks, error's, or whatever anyone wants to call them from the other side of the fence. As a land surveyor; I well remember my days of working in the field and running up on problems that could not be foreseen by, and never appreciated by the bean counters in the office. They just could not understand how a little ditch or creek could slow you down. Never mind the fact that it has been allowed to overgrow for the last 20 years and you must cut your way through the brush, then wade the damn thing both ways each day.

But I also agree with you that until some sort of protest that gets their attention in a big way is coordinated, most of these things will never get truly fixed. They may get patched, but sooner or later that patch is going to be mistakenly wiped out.

I have a funny feeling that this is what has happened. Somehow or the other an old patch has been eradicated and now the forum bar may indeed be unrepairable without totally new software. And the attention span of the public today is so short that WGT may fear an extended down time could potentially cost them the loss of an unacceptable number of players.

If they are never shown that this practice is unacceptable then they fear no recourse for a lack of action on their part.

Does anyone think that WGT thinks they can run a company at all with the nothingness that mobile offers ?
Run it, and stay in business? Yes. Huge revenue loss? Yes. Probably be a one man office if it goes completely mobile. They (TG) have in their minds that it will take off. It won't. 90% of mobile players are fairly new to wgt, and of those 90%, maybe 1% will spend any money, and 5% might watch videos for some credits. They roll that slot, get free worthless, meaningless, coins, and play rooms using whatever gear they are given or received free and free balls. It's surpising to me that they have as many mobile downloads and players as they do. And it's easy to see that most are new to WGT golf because of the many raving reviews it has gotten. With the way TG has completely stopped caring about the pc version, other than to keep it online, this part of WGT will be gone in a less than 3 years. Completely. Unless they spend money and change platforms. Maybe if they ran 3 clashes a week for the next 2 years, they'd raise enough cash from those 2 gullible clubs to swap over from flash. Since TG took oven....the downtimes are really downgrades (while the mobile gets all the love..as I said before).

Well Guys and Gals I must partially disagree with you on this.

I know it is not the norm or even an honest statistic, but in my CC with our measly lil ole 72 members we have about 8 or so that are strictly mobile players. These folks will grace the PC platform maybe every 8 days just to peruse the CC forums and check the standings of our ongoing club championship. Of these folks at least 3 (often 4 or 5) of them are always in the top 10 listing of any of our tournaments. These folks play to win as much as any of us do, and they play it well.

I know this is not representative of the mobile community as a whole, but there are players out there on the mobile platform that will spend credits on equipment and balls. So, I don’t think the mobile version is going away.

Having said that I also don’t think it will ever be able to support the company without the assistance of the PC base. I guess we are going to have to learn to live with it and somehow remind WGT or TG or whoever is running the show that we the PC base deserve a little love also. The last I heard the forums were not available to mobile players, so maybe that is why these issues are not a priority to the company.

The forums are very much available to us mobile players. There are alot of differences, so many so, that both platforms will stay alive. Pc players have the a/s games, skins, and they aren't available to us. They way we set up cc tourneys are different, we can set the tees to default, but not the green speeds, we also cannot seperate tiers. Pc has the upper hand on those, whereas we might still have the turf wars.(not sure if pc can play them now or not, in beginning they couldnt) . We do spend credits on equipment and accessories, but we have a huge advantage in the mobility dept., we can take the game to the waiting room of a dr. office, while waiting for appts. Etc. Our cc is made up of about 65% mobile players, 25% pc players, 10% that play both. Imo, I see mobile being the future, simply due to the mobility factors, more playing by members. (Can play anywhere your phone goes)
