2018 world cup

  some CCs entering 2-3 teams in this , just seamed a bit unfair for a CC like us, with 24 members and other CCs, not being critical, as it is a well run competiton.

  It's not really unfair ya know.  It just is.   I'm in a CC of 246 and we're having issues fielding a full team.  Some excellent players just aren't interested.

  Saying it's fair or unfair denotes some kind of link between winning and losing. There is none, it's all about coming together as a community and having fun.

  Meeting new players and learning about the game, it brings the members of your own CC closer and fosters goodwill between players.

  There are no winners or losers. Just a host of people having a blast. Perhaps being such a small CC you could join a bigger one but as they say, size doesn't matter..... :-)

  just a quick update

  23 squads in so far 13 to come in,

  captains sort these qualifying comps out and get them over please,

  i am just sorting out the last bits before i send emails to all captains which i am still a few short.

   3 emails to come in so i can send all the rules at once

  emails sent to the captains so they will posting all the rules onto the forums.

  a change this year  with the introduction of the plate shield.

  the top four will go through play for the cup and the next four in each group will go forward the play for the plate,

  it keeps everyone still involved and it will keep the forum busy as well,

  looking foward to kicking off this comp this year.

  i month and countdown lol

  I noticed the same thing last year, posting got less and less in this thread as is understandable when your own team is eliminated. 

  Another idea (maybe for next year) that I would like to throw out here: You could lower the number of teams who make it out of the group stages from 4 to 2 and thus only having 3 stages in the knockout rounds. Would have the great benefit that every match in the groups was of much more importance than it is now. Don't know if everyone will be very thrilled about playing once they are eliminated, personally I would struggle to find motivation. But as I said, just an idea for the next year, let's see how it plays out this year first.

  No, but you will post on somebody's wall and then block them so they can't respond. Took me a while to figure out how to get to you so to expose you and this will have to do. Your silly thread crapping on Paul's tournament fortunately got deleted and you run around posting garbage on people's wall then block them like some 2 year old.

  I'll bet the Scottish Bravehearts are really proud to have you.
