    I hope I haven't offended V.

You haven't Jure. It's a bag of honor to him. He probably enjoyed the compliment.

be good if you could have kept the junior peewee league players out , i don't want shots of champs i don't want to give them to legends and i really don't want to play masters full stop , it should all be a level playing field , and all played by the top tier players , legend and above , from the back tees not the junior medal tees , legends and champs shouldn't have to give holes and strokes to masters, for instance a master who is level 103 could have the exact same equipment as the legend they're playing but they get a four hole head start and hit they're second shots with a wedge while you hit yours with a four iron , fair that , like i say , its great that someone is willing to put the effort to try and organise such an event , just be nice if it was just the big boys and girls =)

@jockyroche    The theory might be that a Lvl 103 Master isn't likely to give many much of a challenge.  i.e.  If you're still a Master at that level, then the game just isn't coming to you.

However, I see your point on Master's who are lower levels still and HAVE managed to grasp the game.  Imagine playing against a Lvl 80 Master who has access to the top Cleve wedges.  Yikes.

Not possible to please everyone and I'm sure this topic has come up before &  been discussed within the panel.

or the thoery is that the sandbaggers are not tiering up because they dont want to because they get a very clear advantage , my point is that if this is the world cup its the top players who should be playing and it should be a level playing field, ie everyone using the same tees and not giving shots or holes to someone else, maybe its just me , but it dont seem right and proper.

    just to clarify on tiers

there are no masters in this comp and only a couple of tour masters,

im sure the big boys and girls can handle a couple of low tiers on their way through the comp and its all about having fun with whoever you play

We are still waiting on the decision on how many players will be allowed. :) I can't send you anything until then.

Hi Paul, my hat is off for you taking on such a big effort, organizing this tournament.
Looks like you will have a LOT of teams to manage... good luck!

I was looking at the rules, and I have a few questions regarding the format and the pairings:
Each team has 12 players (8 active players, 4 in the bench as I understand).
Can the active players be switched every round?
There are 3 Game Types Matchplay, Strokeplay and Stableford.
How do you assign players to these type of matches?
How do you decide the pairings?
Is any of these games played as a team? - Which ones?

Sorry if you already posted the answer to these questions... if I missed them, please let me know where to find them (and I suggest you copy them on the first post).

Keep up the good work Paul.
