    Attention,

This is your big chance to get in on the ground floor of a brand new experience!  I'm looking to recruit new members, of all tiers.  My goal is to get more experienced players to join and help mentor newer and less experienced players into better players, help them hone the skills they have, and receive new skills to enhance their game.  Newer players, your chance to be molded by the better ones so that you can enjoy all that this game has to offer.  My main goal for starting this club, wasn't to be the best, but to have the best in it!

Now for the rules, 1. You must want to have fun!  I would like for everyone to just have fun, if you enjoy the clashs, turf wars , and tourneys, then play what you want, but have fun!  When you decide that this is your cup of tea, then come and join The Danny Noonan Misfits!

Your idea of mentoring is worth exploring, but isn't that one of the ideas that other clubs espouse. Not sure that you have fully made clear how your club will be different.

Perhaps if you made (assigned) each "highly experienced" member  a "less experienced" member to mentor and play rounds together in a weekly or monthly tournament you would be a step closer to meeting your stated goal for mentoring. Otherwise, how do you create an atmosphere that encourages mentoring when members don't even befriend members of the lower tiers? Trust me, this does happen in large mixed tier clubs. A few may reach out, but many don't. How are you going to sort through your members to see if mentoring is taking place?

Good ideas have to find ways around the pot holes of life.

Thank you for your imput, those that I've peaked their interest, will come.  If I expose my plans on here, then all will do the same, and my club won't be unique,  correct?  If you have lots to give, then come and join us, and we can togeather help the people who play on here better.  Again thank you for your imput!

An excellent idea, HackWilson1930. I have not seen that suggested before and it sounds very positive. Having a more experienced player mentor a newer player - good idea. Encouraging them to do so via a scheduled tourney - great idea!

I would certainly be interested in a club that considers progressive, team building, ideas like that.

    Well done.

The idea of "Mentoring" is a most desirabe atribute of any country country club. The club I represent has such a program in place and we've found that in order for it to be a succsful venture, it is imparative that both participants are able to talk live while they play. I'd like to recommend "TeamSpeak, or SKYPE".

That way both parties are free to talk realtime as they play and it makes teaching and learning a whole lot easier!!!

Excellent approach. However, I am not big on talking while I play. My wife is generally sleeping in the evenings, so chatting is a tough call. Again, mentoring sounds like a great approach. I am sure that your club will do well.

My club, The 3 Lions, have been doing this for a long time. Our top players (Champion tier) often post hints and tips in our forum to help all our members. They are always willing to help anyone. They're knowledge and experience is very valuable.
