I have just played in a CC vs CC matchplay game and on the 9th hole at St Andrews I drove short and left of the green ending up in the fescue (I think). The only view I had for my next shot was from the green (reverse view) I could not see my player let alone the ball. I hit my shot but did not even see any movement... then it says 'ball lost' replacing it with a new ball, I hit it again same thing 'ball lost'. I had to look at the inset map of the hole to direct the shot sideways onto the fairway.

I truly love this game and have learned to live with the meter issues and a few strange ball reactions but I think this problem needs addressing. Calloway spin balls are not cheap when you play as much as I do and to lose two in this manner is hard to accept. It would be a reasonable gesture if someone from WGT could replaced the lost balls.

Many thanks and keep up the good work.

    Hi

i know that spot. it's way left :). But, if u had hit a shot and it did not move, i would guess you try to hit an iron?. From heavy fescue, best bet is to hit a wedge. It is also possible that ball barely moved and moved into out of bounds zone

If this ever happens again and you're not sure, please right click on the game window and submit a bug,.

    happy hitting

Thanks very much for your reply.

I did hit a wedge, I have the top range Cleveland Wedges but to no avail. My point is though that I did not have a view from the players perspective, the only view was from the flagstick and that view offered me absolutely nothing. I admit to hitting a poor shot to get into that situation but I think it's unfair to be penalised balls when you cannot see what you are hitting. The ball could not have gone out of bounds because it would say onscreen 'out of bounds' it just said lost ball, I could have been hitting it in totally the wrong direction for all I knew without having a view.

Is it not possible for wgt to replace my balls?

    Many thanks

Hi, I agree with bad view. I suspect it's because to take proper view, you had to be 15 yards further out and if it is indeed hazard, then i bet our photographer refused to go there.

I am not sure about replacing the balls since I do not have access to that but I dint think it's a game bug per say either.
