    Here's a strange.....

I understand why WGT would want to price different types of balls differently...  what I don't understand is why WGT would have a price teir structure on the same TYPE of balls, but different COLORS?

    B-XD B-ES GI-D
    White 10 10 44
    Light Blue 12 24 47
    Lime 12 24 47
    Pink  12 24 47
    Blue 14 28 49
    Orange 14 28 49
    Purple 14 28 49
    Red  14 28 49
    Yellow 14 28 49
    Gold 15 30 55

Can someone please explain to me how the Gold GI-D is worth 25% more than the White GI-D, the Gold B-XD is worth 50% more than the White B-XD, and the Gold B-ES is an ASTOUNDING 200% higher than the White B-ES!!

    For what?  The color?!     Wow.

    Flashiness costs extra. :D

I agree with the skewage on the B-XD balls.  I guess they wanted to put them on "sale" so more people would try 'em.  /guess

No comment on the rest of the color/price variation though.  Makes no sense to me.  I would think virtual paint is free.

The funny thing is, I see people playing the gold balls all the time.

Walk down any downtown street, people will pay for fashion/status..........alot.

Snaike....A better question might be why is the "white" ball in each category worth so much less than the "gold" ball?

Answer:   I asked my wife, she said, "white shows dirt more easily".

As you can see, the price for the white B-ES balls is an anomaly, not the rule. It's the one price that stands out among all the other prices. The price range among all the other types of balls & colours seems negligible, whereas there's a whopping discount if you buy the no-frills white B-ES balls. I for one am thankful for the huge discount.

Still, B-ES is my least favourite type of upgraded balls because, once you get used to the extra distance provided by B-XD & GI-D, it can be pretty difficult to readjust your mental calculations back to the regular distance of B-ES balls.

I submitted no answer in my previous post, only an observation. I apologize if that enraged you.  Neviem

The enigma for me is trying to square how approx. 20 golf balls that wear out are equal to the cost of, say the R9 or Rapture drivers, that don't.

Didn't you know that the drivers wear out too?  After 2500 hits the heads fall off.  Or, in a fit of anger, you might throw it in a water hazard (Auto-replaced by the WGT Starter driver).  Either way you're out a driver, which ever comes first.  :)
