Let me get this right, you can change your apparel on WGT mobile, but not here? This is exactly what I'm talking about. I don't want to play this on my cell phone. Explain to me why, both versions of WGT can't have this? Please tell me because we get "ball effects" on here!!!! DUDE!

No DUDE will come to tell you why, only this:

PC and mobile game is different in a few aspects.

For instance, you can't have a bag on mobile, and you can't have apparel on PC.

I play both and I don't use apparel. Why should I? It only works in practice mode and maybe the clashes. Otherwise it would't be fair to the players who either can't or wont use them.

The only feature on mobile that I would like to see on the web version is the approach grid. It would be great not have to use the pitch or chip mode to line up your shots. You wouldn't have to worry about hitting an awful shot because you forgot to switch back to full or punch before you hit your shot.

I've done that a few times. Line up my shot in the pitch mode then forget to switch back to full and hit a 30 or 40 yard pitch instead of the lets say 165 yard 6 iron that you needed to hit.

What a rookie mistake B2B......really....after all this time????????

Sadly...................I am in the same boat lol.......sounds like a good feature!

What totally puts me off is talk of coins, rooms, apparel, turf wars etc......it sounds like it is aimed at kids, gamers and retar......simple folks who rely on gimmicks (not that all who play on this format are admittedly)........it is just not for me.

Sure having a smooth meter or an easier interface would be nice, but it is not for me.....and as most development is aimed at this format......I am sure the PC version will slowly die.

As I've noted before, I only play on the mobile version. But I have to say that agree 100% with this.

The mobile version can be gimmicky. A person just needs to choose to ignore that stuff. That's why I've never played the coin rooms or the turf wars. That stuff seems somewhat pointless (as does the apparel gimmick).

Look at who owns this and what got them in the biz-those Top Golf ranges that are an enlarged version of the mobile game.

IMO, if they really had their act together, they would enable head to head comp at those ranges as played on your mobile device. Picture a CTTH where your real swing registers on the phone at one of those ranges. That would be cool.  :-)

This is where I am confused about the direction WGT has taken.......

The gimmicks are flowing faster, albeit this is not exclusive (as WGT had implemented themselves) since TG took over, but there is no direct correlation to the two games.

I initially thought that the TG ranges might have the same virtual courses that could be played, using your real swing.......and the benefit to WGT would be we would see more courses.....a win win situation.

    Neither materialized!

Perhaps I expect too much, perhaps it is the pipeline or current contractual limitations prevent this.....but surely that would have been part of due diligence?

But just as disturbing (and in the fine tradition of WGT), no-one from TG has ever stated what or how they will improve this game or leverage from WGT to benefit their ranges,

WGT didn't take a direction, TG swooped in and grabbed them, ostensibly-IMO-for the social connections. What else could WGT possibly offer them?

Fair point, I should have said, after WGT was sold, the direction has meandered......the previous owner did/does not seem to have any say in the current or future direction - despite remaining in the business (not that there is evidence of that).

If TG purchased for the "millions of accounts" then perhaps they were ripped off!

Like I said, if the real courses that WGT are licenced to use could be integrated into TG ranges....that would be pretty cool. But that would be another legal matter.

What else could WGT offer? Revenue.......
