In the spirit of the holiday season; pay it forward not only here but when people less fortunate hold out a cup (an example) looking for change.  Ask yourself are ya really going to miss that $5.

    +1

Normally at this time of year I have supported MrCaddie Christmas cheer on WGT....in addition to real life giving to less fortunate.

I have paid for underprivileged and humble peoples groceries (not alcohol) and volunteered at the local charity Christmas dinner for the homeless and giving small toys to their kids as well as supporting foodbanks and other charities.

This year I have also donated to a Head Injury Organisation who help rehabilitate people with brain injuries as well as support their families.

I recently had the honor of attending a BBQ and meeting some families who have been supported  by this charity, I was humbled by the experience.

I had never given head injuries a second thought (I have been lucky enough not to know anyone affected).......until someone I know on WGT suffered a couple of head knocks resulting in concussions. Nothing too serious (I hope) but it made me think.....and this year I have decided to donate for this cause rather than WGT.

    kavvz:

Many kudos to you SlicedPepper for putting on your Santa hat for so many.  Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the thought Kav.

My father taught myself and my brothers and sisters that, should there come a time in our lives when we could help others, then that is what we should do.

I hope giving equipment to others helps them enjoy the game as much as I do. That is something I can thank Dennis ( Andyson ) for.

Being a Vet myself I volunteer to help local Vets. Drive them to appointments etc.

I have met some that suffer from TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury, and it is scary. I have had conversations with some of their family members and they tell me that the person they are now isn't the person they knew.

Hopefully, some day, there will be a cure. Until that time comes all we can do is support them.

We all should  give to whom we wish to, or not give if that our choice. This isn't a contest it's an act of love. Love for the game, and love for the things we care about and are willing to give of ourselves for the betterment of others. Lets have 'Peace on Earth and Good Will to Men'

    PS: Reflect and be Thankful

Well I've started reading a lot of your posts on the forums...and I must say you are quite generous and knowledgable to boot.  Thanks for all your contributions to me and everyone else as well.  You're the kind of client the developers need more of - whether they acknowledge it or not. I've had a chance to play a few games since your gifts arrived in my coffers and have noticed a huge difference in accuracy and distance.  This seems to have eliminated a hefty percentage of the weird *** that happens as well.  (the frustrating random stuff) - Hell I even sunk a 52' putt this morning! Thanks again - and have a wonderful holiday!  I'll pass along the favors in the future when I can.
