LOL YankeeJim.... That was the primary reason for my post.  How is it suppose to help you?

It looks like it tracks your 'dings' and those times you clicked 'early' and 'late'.   I know on some shots I will try to 'hit' early and others 'late' depending on the current conditions.  How nice that they want to tell you that your results were 12 dings, 8 early and 10 late for a 30 shot round but for what purpose.   So what is the advantage of the "meter stats"?

I'm with you Bingo. It's no relevance to how most of us play the game.

Now if you could tell "it" before you play your shot you wanted to hit the ding - and then WGT told you how early / late you hit it as a %  (currently just a huge segment for early / late shots), then that would maybe help you tune your swing? I know - and the meter proves it - that I'm hitting early (just moved to some slower meter balls) but by how much is it early?

Throw in the off-ding putting, and it's even more useless.

Time (and the Enlightened Ones of the forum) will tell if this is a good new feature.

Ooooohh...another Club cCash has started - must go....

    HittyHard:

I don't think there is any reason or evidence to believe that "most" players play the game the same way as you, if you are an off-dinger. I find it highly unlikely that most of the lower tier players have mastered the concept and practice of intentionally missing the ding as that's a technique and understanding that comes with practice and experience. My guess would be that there are more players on WGT intentionally trying to ding their shots than otherwise, but that's just my opinion.

As for the Meter Stats, I find them quite interesting when I remember to check them, which isn't very often so far. The actual numbers of dings or early/late clicks don't matter to me so much as the proportion of each. My biggest weakness in this game is late clicking, so I find the stats a useful way to see just how often I do that in a round. If I'm clicking late three or four times as often as I am early, then that highlights my problem.

What to do with this information is another question though....
