Bring back the 3 hole matches Wgt. I rather play 3-3hole matches, on different course and against different players then one 9 hole match.  I did give feedback and got this response.

Thank you for your message. We recently changed the number of holes in most coin rooms. The reason for this change was largely due to player feedback.

We heard from many players who wanted to play faster, especially since we added sponsorship. This way players can earn many more sponsorship packs. Additionally, they can earn more for their division and Turf War leaderboards. We did decide to keep the Shanghai room at 9 holes because we wanted to keep an option for players who may not like the change.

We are, of course, taking all player feedback into consideration following this update. We greatly appreciate any feedback that you can contribute as it helps us create an optimal experience for our users. Thank you!

I just emailed the link above with the message below. I'll report back when I get a response.

"I am writing to voice my objections to the new format that drastically changed the game by implementing 1 hole rounds. This new format is terrible and makes playing a round more of a game of luck than skill. One bad shot and you have no chance of recovery. One and done then you lose a bunch of coins.

I've been playing nearly every day for a long time and almost exclusively in the 3 hole Clesea room, as 3 rounds at a time usually fits the window I have to play. It gives you time to recover from a bad shot and doesn't take 20-30 minutes like a 9 hole round.

There is no benefit to the current format for the majority of players. If a player is in such a hurry that they can only play 1 hole, then they shouldn't be playing. I find it hard to believe that these change was made in response to player requests. Looking at the WGTGolf forum responses I can't imagine that you legitimately made these change for the benefit of the players. I believe it more likely the changes were made for monetary reasons.

I urge you to revert to the previous format and look into adding a 1 hole game as option. If this doesn't provide you with the necessary revenue then find ways other than this current, terrible format. I have spent a fair amount of money on equipment and buy expensive balls on a regular basis. Under the current format I just cannot do this any longer. I have not played in a few days and really, don't have a desire to anytime soon. This may be the thing that causes me to stepnaway from this game and move on to something else. I wonder how many others are in the same situation?"

    I wrote a post about how I contacted WGT to voice my objections to the new format and said I would post their reply. My posts still had to go through mod approval before showing and have yet to appear. I requsted a release from this speed bump and it was granted. We'll see if this posts immediately or not... Sorry for the lengthy post;

    Hello,

I am writing to voice my objections to the new format that drastically changed the game by implementing 1 hole rounds. This new format is terrible and makes playing a round more of a game of luck than skill. One bad shot and you have no chance of recovery. One and done then you lose a bunch of coins.

With the new format we also added Tie Breakers in the form of a one shot closest-to-the-hole game since one hole games will likely create more ties.

You can still play 9 or 18 hole stroke games in single player by selecting the three lines in the top left of the Main Menu and choosing COURSES from the pop-out menu. Choose a course and you will be able to choose how many holes to play.

You can also play 9 hole multiplayer games with friends. To invite a player from your friends list to a game, select the three lines in the top left of the Main Menu and choose "PLAY FRIENDS" from the pop-out menu. Then you will choose how many holes to play and which player to invite from your online friends.

the pc is dying because like the telephone of old, is tethered to a wall and hence makes it less convenient.

Again, that's simply not true. The PC or laptop is still extremely relevant. And the reason is that, for the most part, tablets are still basically used for consuming information. For productivity, a regular computer (whether it be a desktop or a laptop) is still superior and will be for some time to come.

And I use all formats (Windows desktop, Apple MacBook Pro, and iPad Pro). So, I'm pretty familiar with the various pieces of hardware and their capabilities. At this point, an iPad could never be a 100% replacement for my MacBook Pro.

As you can see I don't post on here often so I don't know what exactly I did wrong but they didn't properly place my response. I was initially responding to the guy that said that he couldn't understand how people play on small mobile screens.  Before I get to far I'd just like to say that I pretty much agree with almost all of what you said in the post above this one.

I'm so glad they made the one hole option and the shootout option, hated ties. I believe that they just need to balance it out between the lower and upper end rooms. 1,3,6,9 & hell even an 18 hole option should be available. Then give many options on cost and winnings. Casablanca is good to me and im glad that they didn't lower the overall value of the room considering the fact I get the same as when I played three holes which would average out to much more time and far less apparel boxes when I have an active sponsor. As for active sponsors, that should be raised to one hour imo. The absolute biggest reason I'm loving this format is because I cannot stand it when people use the entire shot clock to hit a shot especially a very fundamental one. And as the match would look more and more like my opponent was going to lose the more time they undoubtedly use. I've actually watched the shot clock sit on 00 for another 5 or so seconds then suddenly they're swinging with no penalty. The shot clock also imo needs to be 30sec. My very strong opinion.

People complaining about the lack of a social aspect now is ridiculous to me in that you can still chat and one hole or three how much socializing does one want to do during that short amount of play. Ill tell you how much i want to, not at all really. A gl in the beginning and a gg in the end. It actually gets on my nerves when people start asking where your from and questions about your proflle pic.Yet another thing that they do as a distraction honestly!  Another thing thats odd to me is that I've seen in the past a lot of complaints about both people being rude in chat and forfeiting games. Now I haven't really played anything but casablanca since, but when people quit on me in one hole its fine because I lose very little         xp and now I always get the coin payout. That is also why I love the new format cause a lot of people quit and daddy still gets paid. In a 30 min active sponsor session I've been able to play as many as 7 matches vs a lot of times only 2-3 because of shot clock abusers.

well I've went on for quite awhile so I'll try briefly to respond to your response about pc's.  I dont want to get on a rant really because of the placement of my post. I agree that there are power users that still need a pc with a lot of power but in fairness that wasn't the guys comment so that wasnt what I was commenting on. Its really a completely different conversation. But, the point I was making about the pc as a whole dying was completely and factually true in that all you have to do is look at sales and look at the trend toward mobile device usage. Mobile is eating the pc's lunch in both categories. Year over year for the last five people are shopping, browsing, and even socializing on mobile way more than on an old outdated platform called pc. Ironically its really not that personal now is it. The new true pc is the smartphone!

No offense, but you do see the irony in those statements, yes?

Non whatsoever. Where's the irony? Because a short but complete and fair game was replaced with a ridiculously truncated version that rellies on luck, to cater to what appears to be a few ADD affected players? And I voice my opinion that I think it goes too far and changes the game completely? Should they just keep boiling it down until they have a 10 second shot clock, 1 hole and only par 3's?
