  Here's another vote for the old format, I preferred t he 9 hole format as the competition could ebb and flow and you could chat with your opponent.

  I complained using "contact us" heres the response

  We heard from many players who wanted to play faster, especially since we added sponsorship. This way players can earn many more sponsorship packs. Additionally, they can earn more for their division and Turf War leaderboards. We did decide to keep the Shanghai room at 9 holes because we wanted to keep an option for players who may not like the change.

   

  I said that you should have added 1 hole formats nit deleted 3 hole formats and that they should read the forums to see the response. They wrote back:

  We appreciate your feedback and I have shared this with the development team for review to determine the best path forward for all our players. Thank you.

   

  I would say that everyone needs to complain just so they get a feel for what they have done. To all the PC folks, this is not about 3 holes being better than the 18 for community, it is about having a decent game. With one hole and a tie breaker most of my matches have been 1) guy hits a great approach and wins 2) guys mis-hits and loses or 3) we have a one shot CTTH match. You never get a chance to recover, youre done.

  Respectfully, the two are completely different social experiences.  I started my journey with WGT on my laptop, but was too busy learning how to play and level up to spend much time in the forums or worry about a CC.
  
  Then I got a tablet.  And got better.  The mechanics of the game changed, and I got all the beautiful graphics, and I kept getting better.  With chat during the 3 or the occasional 9-hole matches, I made a lot of friends.

  And mobile is completely divorced from the forums and takes more work to interact with your CC.  As you say, mobile has never been the place to do that.
  
  All this resentment is the result of cutting mobile players off from a casual, fun 3-hole match format and driving them to a worthless or exorbitant 9-hole match format.  I rarely have the time to spend on a 9-hole match.
  
  There does seem to be some disparagement or patronizing of mobile players on the part of PC players, based on length of play or a misunderstanding of how the experiences differ.

  Well, I disagree about the goldmine. WGT is the only one who can answer why and when I asked they said "everyone wanted it". I look at the forums and that's not the case. And the problem is it will drive away the mobile users you want, not the coin chasers. I am active in my CC, play most days and play tournies, but sometimes a three hole match is all I have time for. Just dumb to not ADD 1 hole matches, not delete 3 hole matches

  I would like to clarify something: 

  There seems to be a clear distaste for mobile players and I am not exactly sure why?? 

  First of all, not everyone has the chance to have a laptop or pc that is powerful enough to play this game properly, I know mine isn’t, far too slow. I was introduced to this game on my iPad Pro 12.inch screen and although I am not able to play in the same way as the pc players, I had until now really enjoyed the game. I play everyday, both coin games and ranked rounds. I also play in the occasional tournament, club clashes and turf wars. 

  I suppose if I could, I would probably get myself a now more powerful laptop to play this game the way it should, but that expense seems a bit over the top to play a game!!! 

  Having said all that I am really disappointed in the new format that came into play over the last two days, it has completely ruined the interaction of the game for me, the only suitable rooms now would be Beverly and Shanghai to not only get the player interaction, but also the pleasure of playing 3 or 9 holes. So I guess that for me coin games will be over and I will stick to ranked rounds and playing my friends. 

  ‘What à shame!!!!!!!!

     Ditto ditto ditto .......how do we boycott? Tbjs is the worst decision the geeks could have made. I feel as though I'm in the twilight zone .

          To the WGT Top Golf Association I would respectfully request that you do away with this one hole format of golf andkeep the sponsorships, do something else with the format.  playing one hole for the amount of coins that were putting up it's not worth it.

           It seems as though you are in Tyson's to spend more money for different accessories  and sponsorship packs this is a great game and I spend some money on it and I spend a lot of time playing it but if he continues on this path I will have nochoice but to find another golf app to play on my mobile.  this is something I'm not looking forward to having to do but I put a lot of time into this game and I enjoyed it immensely. so I implore you for myself and all the other WGT coffers that you make a fast retreat from thishorrendous decisionof choosing short-term money over long term loyalty and appreciation from players such as myself .

   

       also on another note, players playing on mobile in players playing on PCs it is totally different I understand as far as the level of skills needed. mobile is much harder to play on I've Been Told and even played someone used to run on PC who had an average of 51 we tied on a 9-hole head to head. his rank was a legend and hhada6 6600 ranked rouunds but playing on mobile had about the same level of skill as my self.  so wouldn't it be fair mobile played against mobile and PC against PC and not merge two 2in play especially for tournament play and bracket and head to head basically all of it LOL thank you
