I am a legend and have the burner 2.0 clubs, I have played at ST Georges in the open a few times now and have noticed that some of the clubs dont go as far as they are stated to go I have just played a shot with a 6iron quoted as going 175 yds I had a 12mph h/wind and 169 to the pin I hit a full club no spin and my ball landed at 162 why I am using callaway balls so was expecting to get within 2-3yds of the pin as I hit the ding but to come up some 7-8 yds short is a bit disappointing.

I then changed my clubs to the G10's played the same hole, this time I had 140 to the pin and a 13mph tailwind allowing about 50% for the wind I hit the ball about 137 with hs and guess wot I finished some 12yds short???  now I know that the callaways have a tendancy to drop short but this is rediculous can some one please explain WHY my shots should fall so short, Oh and before someone asks the question of elevation there wasn't any

i allow about 25% in side 150, but anyway thats me. I just think this game sucks more and more every day. Putiing out better courses but the gameplay sucks as bad as I have ever seen it . I love a challenge, but some things are unexplainable as to why they happen on here. the conditions between virtual tourney and mpc are night and day with same wind speeds and greens i've noticed . I never thought i would say this but this game is really starting to piss me off with inconsistency, it is just getting stupid. period... Not to mention the stupid problems of google icon spinning in mpc's which make me have to log off just to finish a round against an opponent. hope you dont get that problem because it's fallen on deaf ears to wgt adm.

Same thing happening to me now.  I have the new burners and I use Cal Z legend balls now, and my shots are comin up short ALL the time. Same shots I have always taken before the update, now come up very short, when they should be going longer than before, I'm using a longer ball (switched to legend z's from tour s)!  Whatever they did to fix the fringe, now causes what I like to call "rocket balls" out of 20% rough, shots that used to end up within 1-2 feet of the pin come out hot as hell and go 10 yds past the hole.  The game keeps getting worse, yet the player base on weekends makes the game unplayable because they cant handle peak loads. This game is hurting for some fixing, REAL fixing.

Noticed this a lot as well. Just yesterday i was playing a round on Congressional. I had a 150yrd shot with a headwind of 12mph, and 2ft uphill. Allowing for 5yrds dropped by using a callaway ball with Good B/S, i used the 170yrd iron. Hit a perfect shot (ding), only to see the ball stop at 129 yrds? This was 1 shot of about 5 in the whole round. Something aint right. Oh, and yes, i was using the 170yrds club, i always check.

The Burners are higher lofted clubs. The wind has more of an affect on them than it did with the i15s and the G10s. Headwinds wreak havoc on the distances, especially if you use back spin. Plus, the excellent precision comes with a price-miss the ding and you get hurt a lot in distance. This is worse with the Callaways and moreso when using spin.

If I'm facing a head wind like in Two's example I would hit the 160 yard 7i with full top spin, expecting to roll up to the cup. Worst case scenario is you have an uphill putt. Choking the 6i with spin would seem the logical choice but the Burners into headwinds are fussy as hell when trying to stop them with spin.

Congressional plays this way well but you have to be aware of where the ball lands before it starts rolling. Several of the pins are on a higher level and the upslope happens right where the shot lands and if you're using back spin you stop immediately. Things like this make the Burners appear to not carry or fall short of their rated distances.

I noticed the same thing when I played. My shots were running anywhere from 15-40yrds shorter than on other WGT courses. Lots of humidity I guess.  :-)
