This is my favourite thread of the day. WGT takes a beat down daily in the forums, which makes it so refreshing that this thread was started.

I totally agree with you James.

Agree, this is definitely the best golf game out there.  As much as we all complain and get frustrated at times, the game is miles ahead of where it was 2 years ago.  When I started, there were 9 holes, start clubs, starter balls, and just a few tournaments per week.  Now we have 6 (er 7 if you count cabo) stroke play courses, hundreds of different club/ball setups available, and all the possible tournaments you could want (unless you're in a non RG state).  Also like you said if your computer can handle it, the game and meter run great aside from the occasional stutter.

And with that I'm off to Congressional in the morning!

    Thanks WGT

This game sucks! I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it any more!

There - karma has been restored to the universe.

    The best by miles.

I joined last October and hadn't played any golf games since pga tour on the mega drive, from the very first day i thought it was fantastic.

On reading the forum, i noticed a rival game being mentioned a lot, so i had a look at it.

My experience of it lasted all of TWO shots. (a drive down the middle and almost holing the 2nd, and i didn't even know what i was doing, lol.)

You have to remember that it is sometimes in someone's best interests to slag off a competitor. You still see it regularly on here, usually a player who has joined up a few days previously and having a go at all and sundry about the game, usually citing "not enough courses".

Well, having recently turned legend, (me a legend, lol) i now look on  every course as "new". There is a huge difference having a long iron or more left and hitting a lob wedge to some holes, so the challenge is never ending and evolving all the time.

It is like starting over again to me now, where i will know i have played quite well to break par on any of the courses, which keeps the realism aspect to the fore.
