I had a sh!*tty drive on #7 at Bethpaige.  I hit the ball under some limbs.  I figured I would use a punch shot to avoid the limbs and get back on the green.  Was kinda shocked how high the trajectory was on the shot.  I saved the replay on my profile.  Used a 4iron with punch.

Is it my clubs, just me, doubt a bug log, or do I just need more practice with the punch shot.

By definition, a punch shot should have low trajectory..............

Punch the 3wd, it works a treat from 30-40/ 40-50 and easily gets you under those low branches.

Also practice with about 75% power, tends to lower the flight (and distance..hence practice) to keep things low.

Under 75% tends to make some bad shots...

I totally agree, the punch shot should have a very low trajectory. with what ever club you use. On Links it did. This game it doesn't , Hell it's almost like a lob shot. I like to use a 3 iron to get as much distance as I can. I think it should be considerably lowered to make it more useful, that is the whole idea.
