Since I'm only 10,000 points away from level 88, when I can buy the R11 driver, WGT will have to come out with a new driver within a few days of said purchase.

    Why, you ask?

When I first made legend, I bought a bunch of legend balls (which I hated), and just a few days later, WGT comes out with the Calloway ball, rendering the legend balls useless.

I also bought the R9 275 yard driver, when I realized that my Super-Tri was too erratic for legend tees.  So, of course, WGT comes out with the R9 280 yard driver a few days later.

Once I finally got enough points to qualify to buy the R9 280 yard driver, I did so immediately.  And what do our friends at WGT do the next day?  They introduce the R11 driver.

So, sometime in the next month I'll reach level 88.  I've been saving my nickels, and I'm going to buy the R11 driver.  If you keep your eye on my equipment, it's pretty much guaranteed that WGT will come out with a new turbo-boosted super driver the following day.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the new equipment and all.  But for the luv of all that's whooly, can you try to save me some money by pre-announcing a new release?  And just because I believe that WGT is out to get me, it doesn't mean I'm paranoid.

Don't think 10,000 points.... What I did when I was that far away was break it down... with the daily bonus and a few more games, I was getting about 1800-2000 points a day...so 5-6 days...bingo

    You will enjoy It!!

    Cheers

OK, Sweet-thing, how's it working for you now, after a few days?  I'm not exactly suffering with my R9, but I'd be dishonest if I didn't say I was jealous.

Thanks, Roger, I'm counting down the days now......but may miss a few....so maybe 2 weeks for me.....grrrrrrrr.

I may as well point out, for others, that the difference between the 2 drivers isn't that great.  There's only a few holes where that extra distance matters.  But when it does.....I'd rather hit from 145 than 175.

I'm also hearing that the meter is just a bit better?

Lastly, too bad I can't make the level before US Open qualifying is over.  I'm 1 stroke off, on several occasions (maybe 2 strokes back).  I'm not saying that is the difference, because I know it comes down to putting, but damn....easier approaches generally lead to easier putts.....................next year.

Don't feel bad, I still have 350 GI SD balls weighing my bag down.  Wish I could give them away to someone who'd use them.

It isn't the yardage difference as much as it is the loft difference. The R11 stays up longer and carries in places where the R9 doesn't.
