Question About 3 Woods

  Which one should I get the G10 3 Fairway Wood 14 (L58+) or R9 3 Fairway Wood 15 (L62+)? Do you think I should wait i'm level 77 I'm looking for distance really and a meter speed I can do I have the R9 driver (L62+) and the meter speed is fine never tried anything faster then that meter so please let me know which one I should get or wait it out for an higher level one.

  jwax, i recently purchaserd the g10 3wood and i've been very pleased with it.  it has plenty of distance for master level.  it took me a couple of weeks or so to get used to the meter speed after playing with the raptures for so long.  with the right wind, i've been able to make the green off the par 4 tee boxes on st. andrews #9 and #12. just make sure whatever you get that it matches the meter speed with your other clubs so you don't create a timing problem trying to ding the meter.

  Hey thanks for the reply I rented the R9 3 fairway wood just to try it out a bit its pretty good so far I haven't tried the other one yet but I think i'm going to rent it out.. will tell how it goes..

  The best club to use below Legend status is the R11 hybrid (lvl 82).

  Carry a driver, the hybrid and an extra wedge. There are no holes that you cannot play this way.

  The hybrid is plenty long for the shorter tees and plays amazingly from the rough (something a 3 wood can't do).

  I tend to disagree, I think the R11 three wood is a great club.  I don't carry a hybrid at all and if your fairways is high you never need the hybrid for that.  I would rather have the ability to hit it an extra 20 yards when you need it.

  The key was....... BELOW.... legend status. Once you reach legend the r11 3W is the way to go IMO.

  depends wait until the r11 or take ur chances I used the g 10's until i was able to get my r 11 ans my r9 until i got my r11 driver.i liked the g10's now i hardly carry a 3 wood i have a 3 iron that rolls 220 plus so im packed with 4 wedges and my irons and driver
