Give new clubs before you say skip it, and sell them? Got the g10 irons, but it hard for me to play (struggle with them) before I switch back to my old trusty raptures. Do you guys and gals play the trustys for tourny's and them switch over to the new irons on practice rounds, or just stck with what works and not worry about it. Love the yardages avaible with the g10's but the meter is difficult for me at this moment....Sell them or keep them? I'm also leveled up for the TM tour preferred......Any advice is appreciated

Taylor Made Tour Preferred Irons have pretty much the same meter speed as the G10's. I'd stick with the G10's if I were you. Once you get used to them, you'll soon realise how much more accurate they are than Rapture's. Also the higher trajectory is needed at Bethpage and Oakmont.

They advertise free balls and you get charged for them, its nuts. I bought $20 worth of credits, never received the callaway balls promised. I then went and ordered them thinkin I wont be charged, but they charged me. This WGT is getting to be a biggg ripppoffff!!!

Contact WGT direct and don't post on the forum in a thread about clubs, you will get much more action that way.

I play with the same clubs all the time.  I would even say that you would be better to go ahead and trade in your old clubs so you don't go back to them as a safety blanket.

I sold my raptures when I purchased my G10s and my R11 when I purchased my R9 for that very reason. I knew that it was going to be a fight to learn the clubs, and I didn't want to risk reaching back for a crutch.

Stick with it, it will be worth it after a few days when you get used to the meter.  I also went from Raptures to G10, i15 and now TM Burner 2.  The G10 and i15 both needed some time to get used to the meter but my scores dropped after I put in the time.

    Happy hitting.

The sooner one goes to the faster meter seems to be a very smart move. If you stay and play here, you will go there anyway...a one month bullet that is important.

Rented G10's than played a full day of practice with them (4 or 5 full rounds)...For me, they can't touch my Rapture irons. Accuracy & meter speed allow me to stick them close on any course. I would say that of all the variables, the right ball is the ultimate key to your irons at this level...Make that the callaway "S" ball.
