I'm just on here for fun. My friends I have met on here are worth way more than bragging rights. If you have to delete all your friends in order to shoot low and be noticed I feel sorry for your pitiful self. It's a game people, I'd rather shoot 6 over and make a new friend than to shoot a 57 or 58 and have none. I don't like a lonely existence. Golfturbating by yourself doesn't sound like much fun to me. Just my opinion ya'll. Want to have a fun round look me up.

I read some of the posts here and will add my two cents.  I am in the process of trying to change internet providers because of horrible latency rates.  Latency, for those who are not aware, is far more important than download speed when playing online games.  A normal latency rate (the delay in the system) should be between 50 and 150 milliseconds.  Mine, sad to say, is never below about 500 and sometimes spikes to over a thousand, two thousand and on rare occasion 4000. This causes an almost constantly erratic swing meter.   I have had seriously errant shots as a result but the worst is when putting and the meter stalls or is erratic.  Hopefully the new provider will have a better latency rate and my issues will be solved.

So long story short, yes someones game can be suddenly ruined by bad latency.  If you are curious about the latency rate of your provider, this site will measure download, upload, surf and latency speed.  http://www.numion.com/YourSpeed3/Run.php

Shots that remain inside the golf course property can not be considered out of bounds.

You should have been able to take your shot from there.

I totally agree.  One problem.......after I hit the shot I hit my caddie over the head with my 4 iron, and after that, the lazy drunken *** was too lazy to retrieve my ball.

One of these days, WGT needs to provide me with a sober caddie.

    Yes, keep crying.

Who is crying?  I certainly wasn't.  I find it quite funny, and I tip my hat to those who did qualify.  They are simply better than me.  Had I made a putt or two earlier, I'd have been able to go for par on 18, and my bad karma may not have shown up.

You, on the other hand, don't seem to grasp the nature of this thread.  To simplify, this game is a blast, and it can be amazingly frustrating.  I posted because I needed to vent that frustration, and a lot of other players can sympathize, because they've been there too.

Perhaps you'll get to that point sometime too.

PS.  Don't pick a fight with TBE.  He's a very good player, I've never seen him act like anything but a gentleman, and he has given a lot of people good advice on these threads for a long time.

How can you be so certain that it is his connection and computer? Have you never had a meter glitch in all the time you have played? I like to believe i have a decent computer for all gaming both online and off and i still get metered alot, despite cleaning the cache and other steps WGT suggests to do. Whilst i except that is almost becoming part of this game it would be nice if they could address it instead of adding another closest to the hole course. I have put more than $100 into this game so have earned the right to have my say.

It's not a meter, it's your computer and connection.

So in effect what you're saying is that Heisman's played 17 holes on Congressional twice on the trot without problem up till the 18th green approach each time  when his computer and connection have mysteriously gone t*ts up causing the most crucial shot of the round to go AWOL.??? - puuuleeeez.

    what you been smoking?

Great question....let''s see his reply to that one.....but I'm thinking it'll either be nonsensical or just plain old textbook claptrap like all the other folks who say "it's your pc, ISP connection, clear cache, reboot your pc/router.....etc"

George-The latency subject was brought up a while ago and some players benefited from this. It might help you.
