Just letting everyone know that there is a update for Adobe Flash Player out.

We'll see how much it messes things up this time.

I'm with YJ on this.  WGT isn't the only firm that seems to break more than it fixes with each 'update' (remember Windows 2000?).  The only thing that is set to automatically update on my computer is the clock!

    THomas

Still is but it's actually 3 years, not 4. You can see archived versions of Flash here going back to 2010. Be warned, though, you need to be very specific about how you change Flash versions.

FWIW, this is the single best reason to dedicate a browser to the game. I use CD and it doesn't update Flash for this very reason. Rock solid perfomance with always smooth meter. Throw Adblock in for ad-free playing.

The version in the Chrome browser I'm using here is 28.0.0.161 and there's no way I could play the game with the way it acts on this browser with that version. Nightmare Central, I won't even try.  :-)

I'm sure I'm in the minority.  I use Microsoft Edge and things are fine on WGT.  Meter smooth, updates good and work with WGT updates.  You name it, it's good.

The Adobe update that is mentioned was downloaded and installed this morning.

I'm a lower tier PC knowledge person.

But was it PPAPI (out-of-process) or NPAPI. Most if not all Chrome based browsers use PPAPI  as their flash player.

NPAPI is for Firefox but will run on Chrome based browsers that are older.

PPAPI pepper flash so far as i have seen never works as well as NPAPI flash. It may work better than it did when it was first introduced but it is still sluggish when compared to NPAPI flash. This is why I use older Chrome based browsers that can still use NPAPI.

The newest version of NPAPI flash work to perfection on Comodo Dragon earlier this afternoon.

Opera still uses PPAPI, I tried using NPAPI and it would not work.

I may try the CD Tomorrow with the newest NPAPI flash. What is the version of CD you use and I'll look it up.
