To the ones with multiple accounts I hope the fleas of a thousand camels infest your pubic hair and then you have to slide down a razor blade into a pool of salt water to rid yourself of them.

I'm laughing so hard....I don't think I'll hit the ding all night.

The whole thing is goofy. I quit improving long ago. I hit almost every fairway, most of the greens, with a short game to die for, and I make no putts. If I started over, what would change?

Even with CC registration, many people have multiple CCs, ergo option to create multiple accounts.

Well, you'd be doing it against hacks and amateurs that also can't putt.

Yeah, discovery and proof is the hang up.  And the staff says "If you think someone is cheating, send us a screen shot."  What am I supposed to screen shot?  The scorecard that shows he shot a 30 at BPB the day he joined?  The screen that shows that after 5 days here he is carrying a 60 average?

I know this is not a new player.  You know this is not a new player.  WGT knows this is not a new player.  But no one can prove it.  Even if it had the same IP and same CC paying for it... "It's my son's account.  I pay for it.  Different e-mail address."  There is no way to prove it.

My solution would be to include MPCs in total winnings, and have a function where players would tier up based on winnings and/or average.  Once you win, say hypothetically 300c as a hack, you automatically tier to amateur, regardless of average.  The alternative being tier based ceilings to winnings.  You can only win x at this tier before you can no longer enter credit tourneys "You have used your allotted credit-prize tournaments for your tier.  To play more, move up to the next tier."  Either way, MPCs need to start being part of total winnings.

There was a hack on the community spotlight just now.  Started June 13th.  11 days ago.  Now level 40.  Three days after he started, he shot 32 in a credit winning tourney.  Has never shot above par, recently shot a 58 at Kiawah.

11 days ago... 58 at Kiawah.  And WGT can do nothing?

Regarding Avatars comments about WGT's motives, he is on target.  Having worked for a very large Fortune 100 company in the front of many acquisitions and a few partial dispositions as well, I can say that customer base is very important and it is looked at long and hard.  You might have 1 million customers but all that matters is the active ones and what their volume is.  Since WGT never clears it's customer base by deleting inactive accounts, you get a sense of many more players but anyone who was interesting in buying and / or investing in WGT would see that very quickly.  WGT has no real incentive to clean up these accounts since they don't really hurt and if that player comes back it is good not to have to go through the set up again.

Not much that can or will be done about multiple accounts.  The only restriction at this point is an email address and that takes a few minutes to create.

The easiest way to stop the cheating is to stop the competing for credits aspect of the game. If the cheaters can't scam credits off people then there's no point in them setting up new accounts.
