Give it up cruiser because you will not get an answer

More good, typical advice. Big help.

Your problem in this case is not WGT's, cruiser. You get that message when your ISP messes up. I get it once in a while, too, and when it happens I see my modem lights going crazy. I know there's nothing I can do until the ISP gets its act together. Just because the icon in the tray says connected I know there's some monkey business going on on the other side of the modem. FWIW, patience when that happens is the best thing you can do. You can't blame WGT if they can't see your computer.

Icon's answer implied that you knew that message meant ISP problems and pretty much said he has the same trouble once in a while.

Spoken like a true shill of wgt's.

More like experience and a positive attitude. Go play with your grandkids you old grump, you're worthless in this thread.

LMAO, ty YJ, had issues worse than I do now and a new wireless router made it better. Guess now I need to look into somehow getting hard wired  from my modem to computer, instead of through my router, or is that the same as being hardwired?????  Been told  two different stories about that!!!

So ironic you mention that, cruiser. I am hard wired (directly connected to) my modem in my shop where I play 75% of the time. The other 25% is at home and I disconnect my router so I can hard wire directly to the modem. If I try to play through the wireless router the load times are ridiculous, the game drags and it's generally a nuisance to play. I could probably fix that by paying attention to it but it's much easier to just unplug the cable line to the router and plug it into my laptop. Zero problems playing that way.  :-)

Exactly funkie, thats what I'm talking about and does it while in a game also, and like I said click to hit a shot and it just sits there, never hits and after 3 or 4 mins. sitting there froze the L.C. box pops  up, but just had this problem in 1 game so far.  YJ, unfortunately I can't do what your talking about, have kidds using the laptop and their ipod touches off of the wirless. Is there such a thing of a splitter you can come off the back of your modem with????

You should have one direct port to plug in to the router.  My Linksys does.

Or you can split the signal from the modem. Send one to the wireless router and one to your computer. Home Depot or Radio Shack has what you need for about $3.

@funky-Mine does too. It's like that message is underneath the log in box and peeks out when you switch screens. btw-killer first round.  :-)

Or better yet, get a good quality wireless router that allows you to hard wire directly to it. You'd have to look hard now a days to find one that doesn't allow this.....
