It's clear to me that Topgolf has taken this game as a commodity and plans on ruin it to make a profit.  It was such a great game before they took it over.  I plan on leaving the game and never giving them another cent, as I can see many of my fellow players have done the same.  The game has changed for the worse.  I can't hardly play as well as I used to, and I will not give this game another chance as long as they continue to ruin it.

No doubt about it. It's going to be tough to lose a long-time, committed player such as yourself.

    Cheers!

    I share your thoughts.

When was the last time ANYTHING on this web site was changed?  When was the last time a new course was added?

You buy premium balls and WGT sees to it that 1 out of 3 are sent to a watery grave or OB.

I joined late so I guess I missed their 'good old days' but I too have quit feeding their coffers.

Hey, two rounds a month would surely take its toll on anyone, eh?

Good heavens; a company wants to make a profit.  It would be informative to all of us to know how the board of directors of TopGolf views  the  WGT  and its place in the company's plans.

Dolf Berle, recently added to the TopGolf leadership team, comes to the company after being the COO of Dave and Busters. Perhaps this points to the direction the company is going. Also going through the TopGolf website it is not easy to find information about the WGT other than a few numbers about downloads and rounds.

One last fact that plays into the Dave and Busters connections is the 42,070,802 games played at the various TopGolf venues around the world while there were 247,000,000 rounds played  on WGT in 2017.  Those games in venue resulted in revenue while  the WGT rounds only contributed revenue through ball sales and rakes from pay to play tournaments.

If you were running this company, where would you want to put development money?

Obviously the mobile platform but why do you suppose TG even went after WGT in the first place? My first thought was that they were going to tie the CTTH games to their venues so you could actually play a CTTH with real clubs and get real time results on mobile.

I've never been to a TG location but I could see the possibility and that would be fun.  :-)

Jim, taking a look at the menus for the Atlanta location you find  19 pages of selections with the first 9 being adult beverages. Tell you something? Want to host a corporate event or a birthday party? Don't think McDonald's unless it is for pre-schoolers.Think TopGolf. For $35 per person you can host a teen party. For $44 per person you could host a corporate gathering. If they start adding a few games like they have at Dave and Busters they will have a top notch venue that attracts that crowd that likes an interactive bar and restaurant atmosphere. Come for the food and drinks and stay for the games or, better yet, come for the games and stay for the food and drinks. Perhaps with live music. Spice things up with some WGT type games and watch the profits roll in.

WGT, the internet game, has a place but it might be just a vehicle to get people in the door at a TopGolf venue coming soon to city near you. I live about 45 miles from a venue that will open this summer (2018) near the new IKEA store. (location, location, location) I am looking forward to finally visiting IKEA and will likely stop at TopGolf.
